i hate to answer in someone else's place, but becoming a parent is hardly an achievement, so i'm guessing that

If you're talking about contributing DNA, then you're right.

If you think that's what "becoming a parent" is, then you're very naïve.

I went poo poo in the potty.

Did you clean up your own bottom when you were finished?

If so, congratulations! Enjoy! :D

The greatest achievement in my 17 years of being alive would have to be beating cancer. Twice. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma when I was 15 years old. I relapsed soon after being put in remission. I am in remission again for a little over 6 months now.

I have always been a straight "A" student before this and I have kept up with my grades. Luckily, I was always ahead of my class and was able to take a break. I took virtual school online and over the phone and I am currently 5 out of 150 in my class ranking at a magnet school. My GPA is 4.0. I have not been to school my sophomore and junior year but I will be attending senior year in the fall if my health does not interfere again.

I would say that is my greatest achievement because it definitely was not easy. Most teens my age get scared when they have to get some blood drawn. For me, that was the best part of the day. Much better than being in a hospital bed with chemo being pushed through my veins. And being a girl, it was hard losing my long locks. :(

Being born. That was a hella rough experience for me. I came out of my mum I was like  then I was like  but then life was kinda :( for a while, so I got all :p and  but as I grew up I bought a :apple:, had some  so I Joined MR, where everything's all . Now I'm

It's hard for me to nail down specific things that are achievements, since I typically get what I want, and nearly always achieve what I set out to do - it's just a matter of finding the method of success that works to reach a certain goal. Not to brag, it's just the way I see things. If I don't do or get something I want, it's because I didn't want it badly enough. Maybe my theory of personal potential is too influenced by Tony Robbins, but life really is what we make it.

I have two part-time jobs, which are basically my dreams jobs, one of which is co-hosting a morning radio show on the most popular station in the area. So, I guess they kinda qualify as achievements... although for me it's more like they just rather happened. I wanted to do both, so I found a plan of action that allowed me to 'achieve' both is all.

You have every reason to be pleased, standingquiet, that's a hell of a story.

There are some very inspiring stories here.

Anything I've achieved, so far, pales in comparison to what some of you have achieved. I have yet to accomplish anything worthy of real merit. At least nothing significant enough to be worth mentioning here. Just some things that thousands, if not millions, of other people have also done. I hope to change that one day if I can follow-through on my goals.
