63dot--it sounds like you are definitely on the right track. You just need to do what you are doing, and do it to a more serious level to clean out some more stuff.

jim--nice place! Is that some type of sauna I spy?

Yes it is a 2 man sauna although you can get three in at a push, but it dries out the air too quickly.

Lighting is almost done now and am planning on a new desk but I will put up some newer pics at the weekend

nice place you have there

Thanks

I have been in 6 months now, I am just getting it as I like it. I would like a white sofa and a new white long desk with draws one end and a small cabinet the other.

I have seen one in IKEA but I am unemployed at present so money is tight.

Plus I have a 3 year old son who I see three times week so maybe the white sofa can wait a while. :)

I like in a 500 sq ft apartment with 3 other girls. Half the walls are cinderblock, the other half are wood panneling.

When I'm done with college, I'm getting a studio apartment by myself. Only 2 more years.

Once you live alone, you'll never, ever have another roommate.

God, I was so glad when my roommate decided not to resign our lease when I was in college and had the place to myself. I love the guy, but god what a constant slob/scrub he was, when he moved out he took that enormous corduroy beanbag of a lint roller with him too, thank god.

When I lived in San Francisco I had a small studio apartment that was under 150 sq ft. I went nuts and after a year moved into a one bedroom. My company moved me to Georgia and I was able to get a small house that is 3 bedrooms. Pictures are of my Livingroom and my bedroom.

Hahaha... You made me smile here.
I had one of my best friends move in with my at my condo. Things were great for the first week. But then just about everything he did irritated me. I would come home and things would be left on, he would leave cabinet doors open, and all of his clothes and stuff everywhere... just to name a VERY few things he did. Im clean and organized so it was hard for us to see eye to eye. I love the guy too, but i cannot live with him.

Eh, glad he moved out a while ago. And....... his sister is moving in soon, so its all good :D:cool:

I once lived in a shared apartment and it turned out the guy I was sharing with kept a sawn off shotgun down the side of his arm chair.....

I did not live there very long.

Still in the process of tidying up, but it's got a theater, popcorn maker, bar, and in my room I've got a 55" LED TV hung from my ceiling that I can turn to face my bed or the office, depending on what I'm doing. 2500 sq feet with a huge deck...not bad for a place in the District.

Here are my favorite living spaces when the weather is nice (some of these are older pics, so I have made a few changes here and there):

Here's a shot of my living room at my current flat, a two bedroom, 4th story walkup with views of the Boston skyline (in the bedrooms, out the window in this pict, I have trees!)... I split my time between here and another location outside the city on weekends.
