Sorry. Macrumors heavily optimizes pictures so I wanted to upload at full quality. It should work now. For high quality uploads I'm going to start using Flickr.
Thank you!

Edit: As I am not a graphics person, how do I choose the correct resolution for my device? Is it trial and error, or should I choose the closest resolution for my device (in this case, an iphone 11 Pro).

So my question is about the white line at bottom of my iPad Air 4th generation. Read it is part of the IOS14 code to show people where to swipe to pull up dock. Is this true? Searched But can't find a definitive answer. Pic included. Thanks.

I opened Tapatalk and see full screen (no Dock), but there is also no line... swiping up does, indeed, reveal the Dock, but no line indicating where to swipe... iPadOS 14.3.

Is that not the “home bar”, there persistently to show you how to exit an app, even three years after its introduction?

If you couldn’t tell from my tone, I think it’s absolutely asinine that it’s still there and not able to be turned off.

Weird, too, because on my first iPad Pro this line wasn't there and it was running the current IOS also. Not many answers to be found online, either. I need to ask my sister if it is on her exact same model. Perhaps that may deepen the mystery unless someone posts a definitive explanation here.

It does not show on Home Screen until I open something but is there on the Lock Screen. Also is nowhere to be found on my iPhone SE 2020 running 14.3 also.

It isn't on the Home Screen because there is nothing to "close". It's on the Lock Screen because you have to swipe up to unlock. It appears when you are in an app or sub page (control center). It doesn't appear on devices with a home button, thus not showing on the iPhone SE.

It is part of the UI. I can't believe it bothers anyone "that" much. It is more elegant than the virtual control buttons on android.

Exactly. And I agree wholeheartedly about the elegance but I feel it would be more elegant if it faded after a while or just wasn’t there at all.

Agree with this, ESPECIALLY since there are instances where it fails to go away while watching something or reading a book, in certain apps. Like if I’m reading in dark mode, I don’t want this bright ass bar stuck at the bottom of my screen. I also worry about burn-in but not sure that’d be an issue or not. I wish it wasn’t there at all but it would be awesome if they’d at least make it fade though.

I think it's fine just curious after I noticed it for the first time. But boy am I glad I bought this iPad. It's perfect for my needs.

Even here in the browser. Why does it need to be there??? It’s still obnoxious even when it isn’t covering content.

Can you advise how you accomplished this in Widgy? Do you have a resource that explains all of the options necessary to build such a widget? I took a quick look and am completely lost/overwhelmed. Thanks.

You gotta use Widgy from App store
