I wish we could avoid using Shortcuts with changing icons. I would have changed mine already.
Great question. I haven't done any testing... but I currently have an all-widget HomeScreen on iPadOS 15 consisting of 5 widgets and I haven't seen any impact.
Updated with a shot of the sky I took yesterday. It was literally a perfect day weather-wise.
Just curious looking at how many people are using the default iOS Mail app. What email service are you using? I really like the default mail app but an discouraged to use it due to the lack push with Gmail.
I switched my primary email to iCloud recently but continue to use Gmail as a backup. Email has never been important enough for me to be worried about push vs. fetch.
I am a big fan of having every app I need on one screen, I have done this by using widgets, app icons and shortcuts.
The top widget is a stack with weather, calendar & reminders.
The rest of the screen is made up of app icons and shortcuts with the menu option,
I also have more widgets on swipe left screen
