Check if the city element has opacity attribute in it, then disable it. If the problem still exists, try z-index: 1;

Tried the z-index: 1; hopefully that'll work!

By the way.. What exactly is "z-index: 1;" and what does it do?

It allows you to layer objects, so a "z-index: 1" object will be above a "z-index: 0" and below a "z-index: 2"

With big thanks to supervixen for the z-index trick; the opacity on all the date & time pieces except the year were driving me nuts on this one. Setting them to 1.0 didn't work, commenting them out didn't work. Z-index did. LOL
