I know this is a dumb question, but I wanted to finally change my font and was unable, I'm on 4.2.1 and can't get it to change. Is there a certain tweak we need? I think it was bytafont I tried..:eek:

Thanks..

Bytafont works on 4.2.1.. Did you d/l your font off cydia and selected it and respring?

Yup, I used a font I found on Cydia, don't remember which one it was though, I wanted to try Helvetica but couldn't find it on Cydia..

yeah thats one font that isnt made for bytafont. You can try googling Helvetica.ttc and a guide on how to ssh it to your phone. Make SURE YOU FOLLOW PRECISELY OR YOULL BE RESTORING YOUR IPHONE

also look for Neutraface/2 or even Mix those are nice alternatives to Helvetica...

I've decided to go minimal for a while. And I downloaded supervixen's springboard widget from a couple of pages back, but once I installed it, I thought it would make the perfect lockscreen, so I made the necessary changes and, yep...it works very nicely!

Lockscreen:
supervixen's widget (modified) and LockInfo
LEXS' battery theme
Signal and Wifi bars (I can't remember exactly where I got them...dBar maybe?)

Springboard:
Kruse widget (modified) and SB Word Clock
icons from the theme "fiftyfootshadows" (available on MacThemes)

I like Neutraface too, but this is what happens when I try to install it..

iPhone 4 on 4.2.1, not sure why it's telling me that..

Because Fontswap doesn't work 4.0+, you have to use Bytafont, and you won't find Neutraface in Cydia. You have to install it manually.

Is anyone else getting to the point where they have SOOOOO many widgets/themes/etc that you can't even remember what some of them look like anymore?

Zip them up and post them!
I'm just getting into the themes and need a fix man! I just need to get straight you know? Help a man out with some spare widgets. :D

Edit: Let me add that it would be nice to make these widgets work on wallpaper activated through the phone. Sometimes it works when you just delete the wallpaper in the theme and sometimes it doesn't.

^ do you mind sharing?^

Sure. There are only a couple of elements I'd rather not, either because I'm not sure where I got them or they're available on Cydia, but I'll point those out.

fiftyfootshadows theme: http://macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16806287

Battery theme (thanks to LEXS!): http://www.mediafire.com/?ldafkcf6cxegntw

Kruse corner widget: http://www.mediafire.com/?64bz64q8tczbrir

SB Word Clock: http://www.mediafire.com/?yf3c7lxegz9isdc

supervixen's springboard widget (modified for use on the lockscreen): http://www.mediafire.com/?xf8ynyc01wo3l8l

The signal bars, since I can't remember where I got them, I'd better not post just in case. And the slider is called MiniSlider_iOS4 on Cydia.

Because Fontswap doesn't work 4.0+, you have to use Bytafont, and you won't find Neutraface in Cydia. You have to install it manually.

Do this..

Google Neutraface or whatever, d/l it and make sure its in .ttc form. make a folder on your desktop (for example) name it Neutraface.font. Put the Helvetica.ttc (system font) into the Neutraface.font folder. SSH to var/mobile/library/myfonts and place the folder in MyFonts.

Open bytafont and select the Neutraface (or whatever you name it) and respring..

KEEP YOUR WINSCP OPEN JUST IN CASE that way you can delete it just incase something goes wrong.

IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR MISTAKES/MESS-UP!!!

If your unsure let me know what you want and ill package it for you and all you have to do is ssh it MyFonts folder.

Oh ok, thanks, any good fonts in Cydia for Bytafont? I don't want to have to restore my phone if I mess up doing it manually..

Cool, thanks, I might try later.. Gotta think about it..

Just in case in 4.2.1 you must rename:

Helvetica.ttc and HelveticaNeue.ttc

to:

_H_Helvetica.ttc and _H_HelveticaNeue.ttc
