You're trying to kill me. I'm pretty sure of it. My husband's already wondering if I'm ever getting off the computer today. I've done NOTHING else all day but this--and he's the one making dinner right now. :D

I'm not trying to kill you, I'm trying to encourage you:D.

But I'm right: it looks OUTSTANDING with Redline. (Ignore the stupid icon labels, had to turn them back on until I get used to what the icons look like, LOL)

That does look great, I was thinking of looking for one of the themes with all the color mods and seeing if I could find(or make:confused:) a nice yellow mod for some nice icons. I did find these, but I think I like the Redline icons better.

This is the slickest LS/HS combo I've ever seen. Well done! Any idea when you will release it? :D I NEED it!! haha

Oh wow I just felt like God just walk through the doors :D
Welcome back LEXS, I signed up on MR's because of you, you are one cool broad! ( sorry I'm Italian :) )

All right, hopefully these are as bug free as they get; tested in advance for 3 digit weather temps and 4 digit 12-hour clocks this time. :D

Edit--nope! Found a bug on the LS, and next time I'm not releasing until it's worked on my own phone through a night. LOL Link for the LS has been updated. For those who already have it, for the "clock", change the left position to -176 and it should stop overlapping the day (which it started doing after 10 PM).

"Caution" widgets--

Lockscreen: http://www.mediafire.com/?jzg6wfo4dghgngt

Springboard: http://www.mediafire.com/?wk6ynykmntloy3n (Widget and overlay have been centered for use with icon labels and with page indicators as I know some people still use either or both.)

Let me know if you run into any issues, please!

(Lockscreen widget is modded from supervixen's LS Sidewinder. SB widget uses an overlay modded from Schnedi's LS Road. Credits for everything are noted in the ReadMe files, as always.)

Awesome, can't wait to play with these. Will let you know if I run into any issues. Thank you

Thank you SO much, this is such an awesome set up. Dumb noob question though. I don't want my 266 status bar to be black, how do I make it translucent? Do I have to change all of the .png files in the 266 UIImages folder to translucent or something??

Not a good idea. LOL

Look for a file in your theme's UIImages folder that's labeled "Translucent_Base.png" That's your status bar. Replace it with a transparent file. There's one attached here (there really is, I promise! Just try clicking on the left side of the "attachment" area, it's small, but it's there, and it's the one I use.)

Be sure to back up your original elsewhere, or do what I do and rename it. I add BCK- to the front of any file I'm replacing. That way it's always near the top of the folder, and it's easy to find.

Hi All just read your post correct I would never pass anything on that was
from a paid Theme
I think you are discussing the small alarm clock on the status bar.(white/red)
I have had that sometime I got it from dbarThemes it was a small clock on a Theme which I modified and used for the status bar

I think I even used the clock and used it as part of a widget here or at igroup

Sorry for any confusion

I have a lot of catching up to do :)

LEXS!!!

Welcome back!!! Gosh, have we missed you! Every few days someone would come along asking "where's LEXS???"

I hope your break and your travels were great! It's so good to see you again!

:D:D:D

What theme is this? I looked up Noki and it is something that looks kinda similar but its not it

Schnedi, love the new lockscreen/widget. Just trying to figure out how I want to use it. Thanks again for all the cool stuff.

And someone asked me about Noki, now I'm back to it myself. Still love it though.

Nope, that's Noki. He's just got the noki black variant for the dock icons (the black variant is available through the modmyi forum thread for noki, I believe.)

Noki itself is only available through ThemeIt.

I have a couple of questions. First, in the weather widget part of the moon image is cutting off the temperature. Is there any way to move the image or have the temperature appear on top of the image (in this case I'm guessing the text would look better somewhat transparent)?

Second, the whole widget is cutting into the dock so whereabouts in the HTML would I be able to fix this so the widget is moved up slightly? Thanks!

I changed this half a dozen different ways--this is what I finally came up with:

IMG_1000000781.PNG

I moved the AM/PM to the right side of the clock, and moved the temp beneath the "hours" of the clock instead. Here's the updated HTML/CSS ONLY for anyone who wants it--the rest of the widget is still posted here. (Updated and original versions are still with BLUE accents rather than the green shown in this shot.)

As for moving the widget entirely, with all of these, you have to move each component individually through the "top" position in the HTML (or CSS files, depending on the widget). You're pushing it with this one as it's already nearly up to your icon labels. You're probably not going to be able to move it more than a few pixels before it starts to interfere with those. But give me a minute & I'll grab a few code bits to get you started.

ALWAYS save a copy of the original first in case you make any mistakes you can't figure out how to back out of!

To edit position, you need to find the section for each element that relates to position. Most of them look like this, and are in the HTML (in this instance, they're all near the end of the file):

Code:
<table style="position: absolute; top: 290px; left: -140px; width: 320px; height: 461px;">

<tr align="right" valign="top"	border="0" cellpadding="0">

    <td height="12" valign="top" margin-left="20">

    <span id="clock">

"span id" tells you what element it is you're about to affect. The "top: 290px" is the only element you need to change in your situation. In this case, you'll want to move it up, so try something like 285px. To move the entire widget, you'll want to keep the number of pixels you move upwards consistent for each item. So in this case, try subtracting 5 from each "top" number.

A few things have to be changed in the mini.css file instead of the HTML. There, you're looking for stuff that looks like this:

Code:
#temp{										/* Weather Temperature Position */

	position: absolute; top: 345px; right: 0px; down: 0px; left: 150px; width: 320px; height: 461px;

It's very similar looking, and the process is the same. Subtract 5 pixels from the "top" number. (In this case, only temp & the weather icon are affected.)

This looks really good! Thanks for posting

Thanks very much for the updated layout, it looks a lot better! Those changes lead me to a couple more questions:

  1. The gray vertical bar in between the hours and minutes needs to also be moved up. Where would I find this?
  2. In my screenshot you'll see a white dot that's on the line separating the dock from the rest of the screen. It wasn't there until I added the widget so do you have any idea where it came from and how to get rid of it?
  3. If I wanted to remove all the app names so there's even more room for the widget, what would be the best way to do that?
Thanks again for all of your help :)

No idea on the white dot, I'm afraid, as it doesn't show on mine. I wouldn't discount it being an oddity in the original code, but no idea where it's hiding. I'll try and browse through it tomorrow and see if anything stands out.

App names: I use IconRenamer from Cydia to rename mine individually (or make the labels blank), but there are a number of icon label themes or tweaks in Cydia as well.

Moving the line--I swear I posted on this before, but I can't find it now. Search the HTML for this:

Code:
<p style="display:block;position: absolute; top: 263px;left:-130px;width: 320px;text-align: right; font-family: Zapfino;

It changes the same way the rest does, just subtract however many pixels you need to from 263px to move it upwards.

IrishVixen, you've inspired me to go back to Glasklart icons again. LOL. But, like you, I'm sure I'll change to something else as my mood dictates. :D

I'd actually forgotten I had this SB widget on my phone. I've been using LS Blink for a few days now (what a beautiful design...so simplistic), and this SB widget really flows in conjunction with it (with both having the vertical line dividing the time).

One thing I've noticed when using random combinations of SB widgets and themes (or just the icons from themes)...if you notice, the date on my calendar icon is black. This only happens, like I said, when I use some widget and icon combinations. Any idea if I can tweak this to make the date white and if so, where this could be accomplished? It's not a huge deal, but I've just kinda wondered about it for a while now and never asked.

Anyway...what mine looks like (at this moment, anyway!):

I had a thought and this is probably totally wrong but I figure I'll throw it out there anyway. Since the widget replaces the little indicators showing the number of pages you have, is it possible that this random dot is one of those indicators? It doesn't move or anything but it seems like it's in the same general area where the indicators normally are.

I find I tend to alternate now between Glasklart and Upojenie the most. I use Glasklart a lot more than I thought I would, actually. It's very soothing. (Hard to believe considering my theme today, I know!)

About the calendar icon--one of your themes ABOVE Glasklart has an info plist that's changing it. Should be in the main folder of the theme. Either pull Glasklart above that theme in WB, or change the plist.

Probably looks something like this--change the color under CalendarIconDateStyle to white for Glasklart.

Code:
<key>CalendarIconDateStyle</key>
	<string> color: black; font-size: 32px; position: absolute; top: -1px; left: -0px;</string>
	<key>CalendarIconDayStyle</key>
	<string> color: white; font-size: 7px; position:absolute;

But because you'd have to change that back each time, I'd actually try moving Glasklart first.

Maverick, I'll check the pngs and see if they're anything other than blank, but I'm betting not, since I'm not seeing the same dot you are. (Not seeing it on KentuckyHouse's screenshot either.) Still, it's worth a look, and you're right that it's in the same area. Weird.

I just took a second screenshot of my SB without the widget and overlaid it onto the screenshot I posted earlier. As it turns out, that extraneous dot is indeed one of the page indicators, more specifically the left-most one if you were to swipe left and bring up the Search function. Not sure what to do from here but at least I know for sure what it is.

Edit: I've seen wifi and signal bars/ in the shape of circles, where can I find those?

First, thanks IrishVixen. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. It's getting late here...lol.

And maverick, here are those round signal and wifi icons you were asking about.

Ah... The spotlight indicator one. I'm on the iPad and headed for bed, so I can't pull that one up, but I'll look it up the next time I'm at the computer & see how we get rid of it, if no one else steps in by morning.

Night all!

@ maverick86 :

Those indicators were SBSearchPageIndicator@2x.png and SBSearchPageIndicatorCurrent@2x.png (FYI : i'm on iph4) They have the same size as UIPageIndicator

Those image files should be put in Bundles/com.apple.springboard

Or you can just search for any "no page dots" theme in cydia...

Finally got around to upgrading from my 3G to an iphone4. I have yet to find an icon set that I really like, but this is what I have done so far (resized of course):

IMG_0008.PNG
IMG_0009.PNG

IMG_0010.PNG

In the dock are: Mail, blank icon, Messages, Phone. I like keeping a blank homescreen just so that I can actually appreciate whatever wallpaper I'm using. I've mainly used Springtomize for the various customizations so far.

I have two questions though regarding Typophone 4.

1: How do I enable the tap to unlock function of it? I see on the deviantart page that he mentions it's in there, but I'm not sure how to use it instead of having "iPhone 4 tap 2 Unlock" installed separately.

2: How do I get rid of the "Unlock" text?

Other than that, it's back to hunting for icons.
