Nice Irish, I really like the wallpaper, it matches perfectly, that's my feminine side talking lol

LOL--yeah, went kinda girly on you guys today. Don't worry, it (probably) won't last. And at least it's not wildly pink this time! :D

Nice to see several old favourites popping up:D

IrishVixen what set of icons are you using I like

It's a mixed bag; most are from MacThemes: folders are a variant from EdiusHD, the rest are Lunero (still in public beta, I think, so under their WIP section), DayraHD, Tree, Marvelous EP, a few I made or modded myself, and a few of your old friends that I pulled from one of your themes are buried in the folders. I'm normally not much on blue, but as I was pulling them together, that's really the dominating color, isn't it?

Updated SB--goes much better with the LS than the other font, though I still need to tweak the shadows a little more:

And... my laptop just started making a soft grinding noise. I'm off to go backup to the external!

Do you have access to the camera from the lockscreen?

Yes, that's the CameraLock tweak, themed with a Glasklart alt icon. Works very well--mine opens Camera+, rather than the default app, so to me it's an improvement over the iOS 5 feature.

Quick question for someone in the know, I am currently using orbz as my theme and it looks sweet, only some of the icons change to match the theme, is there any way I can change it so ALL icons change to match the theme.

regards

i cannot find this cameralock tweak. I'm looking in cydia. I've searched cydia too.

Ugh. My laptop decided to give up the ghost last night, so I've (for now) officially lost every theme (3 gigs worth) that I've downloaded over the last year or so. Obviously, I've still got what's installed on my phone, but man do I feel lost right now!

The upside is I'm picking up a new laptop tonight, which I needed anyway since the old one was still running Vista (YUCK!!!)

I'm hoping I can pull the hard drive out of the old laptop and slave it to the new one so I can pull that folder with all my themes off of it. If not, it looks like I'll be starting from scratch!

Time to start going through part 1, 2, and 3 of this thread and downloading everything again, I suppose. I won't make that mistake next time...I'll be saving everything to my external hd from now on (although with my luck, it'll probably die right after that! LOL) :D

Sorry man.. that sucks.. I know the feeling..:(

Thanks, man. It does suck, but at least I'm sitting here typing on my brand spanking new laptop! As I said, the old one was running Vista, so you know it was bad off to begin with...lol.

On a side note, one thing I didn't anticipate encountering and I'm wondering if someone can help me. I'm currently having to plug my network cable into the laptop because I can't find my router security encryption key! Suck! But, my iPhone is connected to the router through wifi (it automatically connects). Is there any way I can view that encryption key on my iPhone so I can copy it down and input it when trying to log into my wifi with the laptop?

Otherwise, I may have to get a new router too, since I can't log into my own network...lol. Man, has it been a bad couple of days!!! :D

Your router should have a small reset button on the back. If you hold it in for about 10 secs it should restart. That will reset the router to manufacture defaults. Then you can set it up. The only thing you might need to do is look up the default password. You can google the brand/model and find that out.

I had the same thing happen to me last year and I lost about a years worth of photos. It sucks. But there is an app in Cydia called wifi passwords that shows all of your previously entered wifi keys. I hope you get all your stuff back and I have a file of a lot of the themes you posted previously, just email or pm me.

I'm *fairly* sure the router can be reset back to the default password; there's often a way to do so, but it differs from router to router. Might search Google with your make & model before running out to buy a new one.

Unless your old one is really old and you just want to upgrade. :D

Glad to hear you're (sort of) up and running--bet that new laptop is a speed demon compared to the old one!

Edit--that wifi passwords app looks interesting...does it work with current software? I'm always a little suspicious of apps that don't look like they've been updated in quite a while, and this one says "3.0 or later".

wow.. that works.. I feel... unsecure.

I use a tweak to password protect individual apps (can't remember the name right now) to secure that app and a couple of others that hold highly sensitive info.

When you find the name could you PM me or reply please? Thanks!

Thanks, djinn...I'll give this a go and see if it works for me. I'm so lost on these sorts of networking questions. When I was working in IT, I was doing support for end users, not networking. Kinda wishing it was the other way around now...lol.

I'll check that out, thanks! Although I agree with others that it's a pretty scary little app in the wrong hands! :D

IrishVixen, it's like night and day! Lord, I didn't realize how bad Vista was until I started this one up tonight. Wow! And I've decided to start using my 500 GB external drive and keeping everything on that instead of loading the laptop down with extra crap. Hopefully that will keep it running smoothly for a while!
