Trying to keep things simple. In my endless search for the perfect weather widget, I just decided to go with the Ayecon-ified, live Weather Icon. Simple. :)

I like than you've managed to get all the icons in the same general color scheme so far, they look well matched. It's a great start!

Thanks :) The icons are pretty easy to make, just a vintage filter over the photograph. Like I said, I'm pretty happy with it so far. I may release it as an icon set.

I know what you mean; I'd just as soon pick an image and stick with it. I haven't looked at the code for that one, but I'm sure you could PM MJ and ask how to set just one wall. (Assuming no one else has asked publicly--we can't be the only ones with that preference?)

She gave me the fix, and it was so easy that I can't believe I didn't even think of it (add <img src="Layer.png" style="position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px; width:320px; height:480;z-index:5; "> under <body>...yeah, I felt kinda dumb for how simple the fix was)...

Btw...I tweak my phone in the dark, in bed, all the time. I tell you, ArtStudio, iFile, and Safari should be broken for as much as I use them.

This is something i'm currently working on. Definitely a work in progress still, but I'm happy with it so far. Both the icons and Wallpaper were made by me. I plan on fixing the status bar some, adding some more icons, and a widget somewhere. What do you guys think so far?

Pretty sure I know where you found the inspiration for this one. Real shame that it was NFR. The icons turned out great. I'll be keeping an eye for your release.

Don't feel dumb. That's the sort of thing that gets easily lost when you're muddling through someone else's code. There's an interesting discussion on RAM consumption going on in the iWidgets thread right now (mostly talking about UniAw--display:none vs opacity:0 vs commenting out div id's within the table), and it makes me want to take a new look at some older widgets that I *know* bog down my devices.

Then I remember how new I still am to this stuff, and that if I don't get sleep tonight, I'm hosed. But thanks for the heads up on ArtStudio. That looks like a terrific alternative to pulling out the laptop just to desaturate an icon a little, etc.

would love to learn how to do this. i've got a spring board widget (applied through winterboard) that i want converted to an iwidget so i can use it with my LiveWallpaper. Incase its not too lenghty to explain, could you maybe point me to a direction?

I doubt I can condense it to a "short" explanation--probably because I'm still feeling my way through the process, and may well be doing it wrong still. I haven't yet added net new options to a widget yet, for example; any format changes needed in the one I showed still require knowing what to change in the HTML (and where to find it). That's not the point of an iWidget, which *should* require almost no knowledge of HTML/CSS for an end user to customize somewhat.

If you feel reasonably comfortable messing around with HTML, PM me & I'll pass along anything I can that might help.

I'm self taught on widgets, and still thinking of how we did things two years ago (which is now way out of date), so I can guarantee there are better ways to code than those I've "discovered". So please, please-- if any of our REAL code gurus has a straightforward explanation/tutorial on how to convert old SB widgets into iWidgets, please do post. I know I'd appreciate it, and I'm sure others would too.

Yep that was my inspiration lol. Kelly over at dbar is actually working on the exact same thing, lmao. It is a shame that one is NFR, but I'm pretty happy with mine so far. I'll probably release it both here and dbar. I'm hoping it'll be done Thursday or Friday if all goes well.

All done with Springtomize. I just switched to this layout and I think I'm going to like it. Unless you really only use those 10 apps you have to make your "simple" homescreen, I feel like you're just wasting your own time with that layout. TEHO I guess...

ok, i'll give a very detailed guide! xD

1- change the name of the html to "Widget.html"
2- add the Widget.plist
Done!!

OPTIONAL: you can add the "Options.plist" by "moving" the options from the config file to the plist.

now put the folder into "var/mobile/Library/iWidgets" and activate it.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I am editing a theme and I have run into an annoying issue, sometimes even though the icons are 118x120 in size they are different sizes on the iPhone screen, why is this?

Never mind must have been brain dead when I wrote this, of course it depends on how much of the 118x120 icon is occupied by the actual image...doh.

Hey,

I'm having some sort of shadow issue with my BiteSMS icon in the dock. Have any of you seen this issue before? Any help would be appreciated.
