Hmm okay. What's the jailbreak program and what happens when I get iOS updates?
if you're on 7.1.x, then http://en.pangu.io/
you can't get iOS updates in the normal way. and everytime you restore or update, you lose your jailbreak

yes, but keep in mind you can only restore to the versions that apple is signing (which is usually the latest version) and there are no exceptions around this on the newer devices
and if the latest version is NOT jailbreakable, then you are stuck on stock iOS and will just have to wait for the next jailbreak to come out (which is usually 3-6 months after the public release of an iOS version)
normally, there would not have been a 7.1.x jailbreak but since this was from a new group of jailbreakers, we have one which is great!
Okay so I downloaded the one you mentioned but I can not open it. I get an error message. How do I change those settings?

On your Mac, go to 'Settings' > 'Security & Privacy' and where it says 'Allow apps downloaded from' choose 'Anywhere'

It's in beta... and yes, the theme creator did make white and gold icons. Not to get your hopes up, but I'm not certain if it will ever be available through Cydia or not.

Nice. How did you get your icons to reflect on the dock and do you mind sharing the wallpaper?
Classic Dock tweak.
I can look for the wallpaper later - not sure if I still have easy access to it. I've been trying to find it on and off to reuse.
