So this is what I have so far. Can anyone tell me how to remove that border on the bottom dock icons though, and where do I put wallpaper files in SHH so I can select them?

I use springtomize to hide the dock background. There are other options but they totally elude me at the moment...
 
It went away and I'm not sure that it was anything I did. I guess we'll see if it comes back and if so then i'll try one of those suggestions. Thank you!

OK, so after yesterday's crazy win, I was feeling especially generous and just did it up for you. I'm not totally satisfied with the colour overlay for the background but if you want, I can send you the PSD so you can tweak it for yourself.
