Great mouse. Got mine a couple months ago when the sale was from $99.99 to $49.99 at BB. What a steal at the current $39.99. Good purchase for you.
Play with the settings a little. I like to set my thumb wheel to zoom in and out and fit to screen, thumb arrows to spaces settings, and the top search button to show desktop. What ever works for you though basically. Enjoy.
For zoom though, use command+ and command- rather than the default options in the control center. Works better with all applications and more reliable.
MacBook's trackpad is 10X better than any mouse.
Logitech DiNovo (best keyboard I've ever used) Apple keyboard
Microsoft Laser Mouse 7000 and Logitech LX7 mouse
it was sold out everywhere around my area, i had to drive 15 miles out of my city, well worth the drive imo
my settings are simlar except my top search is to activate dashboard
Yeah, I like 'free rolling' as well. I tend to set it that way at restart but should make it standard. Didn't realize you can do that. For the MX revolution users:
Do you have your wheel set to 'click' or 'free rolling'? I use free rolling because I hate the click(and it burdens with having to re-set it any time I restart)
How do you like that Macpadd? I was researching those.apple keyboards, mouse, and aluminum macpadd.
Looks nice! I may keep that into consideration for my other mac.its pretty cool, i like how the mouse just glides on it, with very little resistance.
Does the Mamba run on a Mac ? How did u get it to work ?
Oh, that Dreamcast takes me back...Cherry G80-3000HSMGB/05 (Blue Cherry switches, dual-shot caps) + Kensington Expert.
I know I'm probably going to get a tonne of replies saying it looks awful & I should get a new one, but there is good reason to use a keyboard like this - they're infinitely better than any modern scissor/membrane keyboard & this is why there is a niche market & cult following among professionals for mechanical boards like this.
Sent you the same in the PM reply:
Yep, the mouse works in OSX. (I'm running OSX 10.5.7)
There's a few caveats though -
1. You need to use Steermouse or USBOverdrive to map the extra mouse buttons and control the acceleration curve.
2. Any firmware updates require Windows (via bootcamp or a different computer) to install. I update mine from my PC laptop.
3. To do the "advanced programming" (macros, remap the two dpi buttons to macros, switch dpi/polling cycles) require access to the Windows tools for the mouse. Once saved to the mouse, they work in Mac OSX. I have an XP parallels instance I use for this.
I've mapped the dpi buttons to DejaMenu and Dashboard, the side buttons to forward/back, and the middle button to expose as my default. In video games the 5 primary buttons are all passed to the games as straight clicks.
Its been fantastic! If you don't leave your computer on/sleep it (leaving USB power on ports) you may have issues with its battery life. It lasts about 25hrs of use (or 3-4 days of "standard use") per charge. You can cable it and it becomes a wired-USB mouse while its charging if it goes dead on you. Being a "Lithium Ion" battery you can charge it anytime, I put mine on the charger every night.
apple keyboards, mouse, and aluminum macpadd.
Yeah, when I bought mine a couple months ago for the $49.99 discount, I called every local Best Buy and finally found one in stock at distant store. I even had to call them and have them hold it for me. Picked it up and couldn't be more happy.
Way better than the default Mighty Mouse IMO. More options and great feel.
The only thing I really liked about the Mighty Mouse is that it had 360 rotation on the scroll ball. Other than that, it's kind of ordinary and tedious when it comes time for cleaning the scroll ball.
Team DiNovo!Yes! We are two members strong!
I have a BT one for the windows box and an RF one for the mac
