so what you gonna be using them for exaclty?

Well I've got my first relatively major 'sound gig' coming up this saturday, and I've gotta get a double bass up to decent volumes outdoors. I'm hoping to get a bit of income from live sound on top of the studio stuff I'm doing already. I've got a (very) nice mixing desk in for service at the moment, a vintage Yamaha MR1242 which is going to be great for live use...

Paid $139AUD for them, awesome deal for how good they are IMO.

No I don't smoke weed. I know, how very uncool of me.

Exactly.

Well there were three of us sharing and they came back and replaced our coals, which is nothing really. I'd say we tapped it in 45 minutes and it was about $25. Good business if you ask me. As far as the actual device. I was told they can range but most who buy one for home spend about $100. I won't be buying one for home. I'm not that into it. :)

:O
wow!!! 25$??? that's alot!!! in this price we get a new and a good hookah!!!
a damn good business!!
when i was younger, i thought that if no one will know in the us what hookah is, i will do a bar with alcohol and hookah's...

Just ordered one. I was wondering where all this back and neck pain was coming from! Finally figured it out.

I don't quite think so, I believe it was fantastic. Maybe the cinema verité style did not agree with you?

I agree with shotglass here, I thought the film was absolutely brilliant! One of the most original films Ive seen in a long time

Concurred.

I too thought it was incredible, and since cinema verité pretty much translates to 'cinema of truth' I think it's pretty safe to say you couldn't get a much truer, nor real account of how people would react in a situation like that.

Sure, maybe it was a slightly hollywood-esque take on cinema verité, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy it.

In fact, at the end of the film, the entire crowd fell silent for about a minute, and me, being the guy that has to break awkward silences, just shouted "THAT WAS F**KING INCREDIBLE", shortly followed by wild applause from the audience:D

A new 2008 Chevy Impala for the wife. Not the most stylish car in the world, but she seems to like it.

My honest last purchase was a blackbook and a vga adapter so that I can hook it up to my TV.

I've wanted a macbook for a long time to go along with my iMac as it's great to have something to take with me when I'm away from the desk and need my mac fix (I'm a software engineer who's stuck with Windows all day).

I went to Dick's and got some balls.

Plan on hitting the links this week if it cools down a bit.

The way NC MacGuy plays golf, it takes lots of balls - and beer too!

I think I'm in love. You have the camera to document my drunken nights and you have the balls to play golf with my inexperienced ass the next day!! We'll have the beers after all is said and done. ;)

the idea itself was great, i love movies that use the idea of something unknown attacking. but the constant camera movement absolutely killed it for me.
i will say that the idea was great, but im going to be stubborn and still say that i hated it :D

i have heard rumors that there is going to be another coverfail coming out, this one is to be shot in the perspective of the military, i think that is a great idea. main reason, because that means more than likely, still camera.
although that does mean there may be potential for a constant helicopter/car noise in the background. now that would be funny.

Shaving is expensive. I might switch back to a machine, but then again; it doesn`t really do the job that well. To shave properly I have to use a razor... maybe I should just grow a beard :D

That thing is FUGLY.

Dont hate the taco!

I used to own one, and a QD.....people need to be more open minded about them. They went through a lot, those poor little guys.

Great multitasking devices and fun for a game or two. Not nearly as awful as people have it in their heads that they are.

My not yet complete Home Theater

Well, I have a pseudo-home theater; Klipsch speakers, NAD amp, Sharp 32" HDTV and a PS3. I say pseudo because I have all the required things except true 5.1 surround. I saw a movie without the surround and it still was awesome. Anyway, it wasn't all purchased by me, the HDTV was a weird trade I made with my uncle(gave some old Bose speakers and the old tv) Its not fully complete yet, Im getting the proper equipment for 5.1 before the second quarter of 2009. BTW Im 16.

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics hehe
