I always said that I would never get too much into car audio, but the other day my little tape that I used to connect my iPhone to my car stereo died on me... So I figured I would just replace the receiver instead of the cassette!

I have the same book! well, I have the 2008 edition but basically the same book. I'll be a junior though, I'm gathering you're going to be a senior? I've been reading it over the summer, it has a lot of good info.

I was torn between the x100 and the x001 because they were both very similar and the 001 was $50 more (450 total from alpine) Crutchfield had it for $400 and the x100 for $350... but then I saw that cruthfield was going to knock off $130 for some reason, plus they throw in the free installation gear, so it was pretty much a no brainer!

I needed a new laptop but don't use mine enough to justify spending a lot of money on a MacBook. So this was on sale for $600 at Best Buy which is exactly what I wanted to spend on a laptop. Pretty good deal...2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, 3 gigs RAM, 250 GB hard drive, DVD burner, integrated webcam. Only thing it's missing is Bluetooth, which isn't that big of a deal to me. In all honesty, a better deal than I could get on a Mac

But, the first thing I did when I got it home was peel off the Intel Inside and Windows Vista stickers. The second thing, which I'm working on right now, is wiping Vista off and installing Ubuntu
