So after checking eBay / CL + others for a week or so looking for a more powerful computer than my 1.66CD Mac Mini that has been acting as a Leopard server for the last few months I have decided to go ahead and piece together a Hackintosh that is far more powerful that any current Mac except for the Mac Pro, and I did it at less than $600 shipped, so here's what I got:
Building computers is fun, but the headache caused by Hackintoshing isn't worth it to me. I miss building systems too, but I just can't get myself to build another system.
That's a picture of a C2D, but you said you got a C2Q.
Anyways, that is a very nice build. I personally, hate the motherboard (One PCI slot fried on me, and the CPU Fan slot fried on me, I had to plug in the fan on a different, regular fan slot, and change my wireless card to the other one).
Also, is it going to be wireless, I don't think you got a wireless card...
I recently bought four Q8300's and related hardware. Of course they weren't mine, they're currently computing away for four clients. (Yup, the box says QuadAnd I know, that is the box for it i guess.

And yeah, your build works great and is bone-easy to set up. Ironically, there are probably just as many 'Mac users' with that set of hardware worldwide, as owners of many models of actual Macs. Even that one bogus company that I hate to mention the name of, uses that set of hardware as their main product.
