Sorry Captain Pedant I forgot that everyone calls it the outside lane and no-one ever refers to it colloquially as 'The Fast Lane'. If that's the most annoying thing in the world to you then might I suggest that you never tune into any kind of news broadcast as your mind would be well and truly blown.

If you want to be really picky then the middle and outside lanes are actually called overtaking lanes.

I also hate people sitting in the overtaking lanes regardless of what speed they are doing. It is extremely aggravating, particularly if it is blatantly obvious that they are holding up the flow of traffic.

They are calling overtaking lanes, but they are not meant to speed in. Perfect example is a highway with a set minimum speed and a set maximum speed. You are not to use the overtaking lanes if you are passing a car that is going the set maximum speed. You are, on the other hand, more than welcome to take to overtake a car if they're going the minimum speed.

Let's not get overtake and speeding mixed up here.

Im sorry, where did this thread turn into a witch hunt for my vocabulary and road behaviour? I must have missed the post advising everyone of that.

Let's be honest here too - not everyone obeys the speed limits and if I want to go briefly up to 90mph to overtake someone doing 70mph in the middle lane and I deem it safe to do so then I will do so.

Is this screwed up pricing still available? I'm very tempted to buy one of these to watch TV on, instead of using running a Slingbox (which is about $300) and no get HD at all.

Ha it probably is. The home shop says "starting at $549" but apparently they are $599 in the sm business store. I called argued for a couple minutes and got a manager involved. they gave it to me for $549. My plan is to use it for xbox and my mac pro :D
I have been waiting for an H-IPS with multiple inputs at a price less than $700. The only thing that would've made it better was LED, but I'm not too picky. Also, I am still not quite convinced the mini displayport is going to take off.

EDIT: looks like they've gotten the page corrected now. It reflects the $599 price.

looks nice, a little high on the price. i heard dell's customer service is really bad right now on twitter, is that an led backlit?
I thought it was a very reasonable price for the IPS panel. The 2408 with PVA panel was $549. I've read nothing about bad backlight bleeds etc. Color is reported exceptional too. There are a couple extensive threads over on HardForums about it.
3-years free warranty and the "no bright pixel" guarantee. Seems solid, especially for free

I'm sorry, where did speeding lose all it's meaning? I wasn't attacking you, but let's get real, if you were doing 90 in a 70, than you are in the fault. 'Nuff said.

A red Samsung P2 for a friend. A giftbox, some tissue paper, plain card, envelope and some ribbon. She's going to love it!

I think this debate/heated discussion should be continued in the PRSI forum....

@ Andrew Henry - I've heard some good things about the EFI-X team/method. Hope it works well for you, I plan on doing something similar in the future (Mac Pro case etc)

Thanks, I just happened to have a motherboard that was compatible so I decided to jump on it when I saw it go up for sale, either the PC I built can do a retail install but this makes it easier!

@Andrew Henry: Where did you get that motherboard tray? Does ist support E-ATX?

Not sure, I got it from frozencpu.com.

Inacse Nylon bookbag for 17" MacBook Pro. And I don't like it so I am taking it back. Anyone have any good suggestions? I need a good backpack for around $100 that fits a 15" MacBook Pro.

^ Anything Northface.

I have one for my 13" and doubles as a regular backpack too.
There's a nifty sleeve inside that I tuck my Macbook in with an Incase Sleeve on it too. Fits really snug and have had absolutely no problems.

Although, I have to return the drums for a replacement unit because no matter what I try, they will not sync up with the dongle.
