10% of the amp? What kind of amp do you have? haha. I'm thinking of getting either a iBasso T4 or a Nuforce Icon Mobile. Any suggestions/recommendations? It's gonna be my first amp, so I don't wanna go overboard with it. Shoot I might even just go for a Fiio E5. I mainly need it just to cut static coming from my macbook's headphone jack, it's starting to really annoy me.

Eh, if you're just trying to cut out static, I wouldn't recommend a Fiio. They're a bit noisy. And besides, most of the "static" is caused from the iPod's noisy headphone out. A good LOD would likely solve a lot of the hissing/static/noise that you here.

Personally, I have a Practical Devices XM4. I highly recommend it if you're not looking to spend $400+ on an amp.

Well actually, it's not the iPod or iPhone that I have that has the static, although there is a very faint hiss. My Macbook is just horrible when it comes to handling low impedance IEMs though. 32ohm and up seems to be fine...but anything lower, like my Sennheiser IE7s, there is just so much actual static it's really annoying.

I'm still debating on an LOD since I might not even use the amp on the go with my portable set up, only at the desk while I'm listening on the computer.

My recent purchases

Some new cologne... new Lacoste and some Bvlgari. Lacoste for summer days and the Bvlgari for those cool summer nights. Oh yeah and my new mighty wallet. Just found out about a coupon code which would of got my 40%... oh well I'll live :)

If you don't mind, would you do a review on those headphones? I've been tempted to buy them but haven't had the chance to try them out. Thanks
I'm more interested to find some that look similar, have a similar build quality, but don't have the Monster/Dre branding which inevitably added £200 to the price tag. I just couldn't justify £280 headphones. I have Bang & Olufsen in-ears at the moment that cost just over £120, and I've had them for four years, but I'd like some studio style ones.

I have the Lacoste cologne as well and everyone likes it. I hope you have luck with it. ;)

My New Baby...

... and I'm loving it. It is so nice to finally be on full frame digital. I think I'm most amazed at the noise (or lack thereof) on the D700, I'm getting completely usable shots at ISO3200! I picked up the obligatory 50mm f/1.8 which produces amazing results.

I also picked up a nice little gem off eBay, the Tamron 24-135mm. Not made anymore but a really fantastic lens for the price. Perfect walk around range for a FF sensor and I'm shocked at the sharpness this little thing gives me even wide open. Stopped down a bit and I can't tell the difference between it and my 50!

I listen to mostly hip hop, especially since eminem's new album came out I had to pick these up. I will try to put up a video in the next week about them.

4 Sets of Pro-Arte Composite EJ45LP Classical Guitar Strings from Diadario... They are some of the best strings that you can get in my opinion but for $19 a set... they are pushing the price range!!! *But you have to put nice strings on a nice guitar* He tells himself...

Did some Spring cleaning and dusted my shelf, which has a track going around it, decided to get a new Loco and some wagons.

Here's the new Loco ... unfortunately I only recently found out that the famous Marklin Company (that makes Z Gauge model trains) went bust. :(

They were the world's oldest and made amazing stuff. :(
