I don't know if this is a "purchase" by technical definition, but it is mine now.
I got it for free! (No I didn't steal it).

PowerMac G5

Dual 1.8Ghz (I'm not so sure on the exact amount of Ghz, but it is 2 processors at 1.x Ghz)
3GB RAM

750GB Hard drive

Is there any way I can find a good (cheap) wireless card?

You got a Power Mac for FREE and you want a CHEAP wirless card? splurge on the card, the money you saved is not nearly as much as that.

A crystal screen protector for my 1st gen ipod touch, something like this:

TP867

I bought a screen protector for the ipod touch along with a case when I bought it(the iPod), but I ended up putting the wrong one in and losing the actual one, so.... :/ This one was only 10 dollars and the person at the desk cleaned the screen and meticulously attached the cover perfectly, so I'm satisfied. XD

... and I'm loving it. It is so nice to finally be on full frame digital. I think I'm most amazed at the noise (or lack thereof) on the D700, I'm getting completely usable shots at ISO3200! I picked up the obligatory 50mm f/1.8 which produces amazing results.

I also picked up a nice little gem off eBay, the Tamron 24-135mm. Not made anymore but a really fantastic lens for the price. Perfect walk around range for a FF sensor and I'm shocked at the sharpness this little thing gives me even wide open. Stopped down a bit and I can't tell the difference between it and my 50!
*drool*

I'm very happy with my D300, found it locally for a song. I'm certainly not in the position to jump up to FF, but for now my D300 is lovely. I just wish I could find that elusive 35mm f/1.8g.

Well... let me put it this way... if you buy a PCI wireless card that is based on the Broadcom (Made by Asus) it will be plug and play and you will be able to work with it through the build in Wireless Software that comes with OSX...

I have two...
Wireless 'N' one...and Wireless 'G' one...

The first one is a Wireless 'N' Card... but it is not natively supported so you will need to download and install the driver before it works... the second is a Wireless 'G' Card... it is supported natively by OSX so it is just plug and play!!! They are $50 and $40 respectively... but I'm sure after a little nifty Googling/eBaying.. you'll get it cheaper...

Hope that this is helpful...

It was definitely a stretch, and starting over in the Nikon world I had to go cheap on the lenses to be able to do the D700 but as it turned out I have gotten a lot of bang for the buck from the two I have. GL on the 35mm hunt! There is nothing like having a nice fast prime. That combined with the excellent ISO performance of our cams is amazing for low light work.

Well, I don't think I'll buy a wireless card anyways. Hook it up to my projector as a HTPC and just play movies off of it. (My equipment for my projector is in the same room as my router)

Well... I don't think that this really counts as a purchase... (Again  ) but... I was given a MacBook by a friend this morning... He bought it to try out the Mac... but about 6 weeks after buying it got fed up and went straight back to his PC... Some people are strange.. but I am grateful!!! It's the Unibody 2.0GHZ one with 2GB's and a 320GB HD...

I have saved myself a few bucks... and I wasn't going to be buying one in the first place... so this is bonus!!

I have uninstalled Garageband, iMovie, iDVD and iWeb... And installed a few choice apps... iWork, Things, Fresh, OmniOutliner, Little Snapper, DropBox... you get the drift.... I have copied across about 60GB's of Music, and about 15 Movies... I have also downloaded the first episode of "South Pacific" onto it... to test out it's "HD" ability...

I will post some more feedback... but I might well be replacing my MacBook Air with this... it seems faster... and it really isn't much larger... I am crazy...

I am very lucky... and very happy LOL...

Wow! You have an awesome friend! Congrats!

I agree... but he is a PC "addict" and therefore I cannot change him...

Ah, I tried about 5-6 months back. My Audio/Wi-Fi didn't work so I re-installed Vista. And have been happy....until now. Now I'm even happier with a G5!

Never seen The Riches, but I love Eddie Izzard and they were on sale.

How is valkyrie?

I thought it was well done, and I enjoyed it. It got you very involved in the story even though we knew the outcome in history - and it did give you more insight. Definitely worth seeing, even if not worth buying (I had my reasons).

2 questions if you don't mind my asking...

How much did your 3G sell for?

Are you using that on TMobile or AT&T?

You just got a Blue-Ray?? Or are you just mad.. I don't think that even I could afford to buy that many Blue-Rays at once!! I have about 20.. but that is enough for me!! I mean £35 for one where I buy them.. that is ridiculous!!

Do you want to re-phrase that to make yourself sound less arrogant?lol. :p

I thought Valkyrie was a pretty good film, and I'll admit I was really getting into it and hoping they would pull it off, despite knowing the overall outcome.
