The internet connection died during the last 30 seconds of the 3.0 download!!! Now i gotta start all over again and wait 20 mins.
EDIT: Okay, 3.0 is installed and running. Let's hope the new Push service doesn't drain my 1st Gen battery too much. *crosses fingers*
I couldn't resist.
I couldn't resist.
I got the 24" with the ATI Radeon 4850 (the one upgrade I always planned to get), and thanks to my amazing grandmother who's footing most of the bill, she convinced me it was okay to upgrade to to the 3.06GHz processor! I was gonna go with the 2.93GHz but she said I'd regret it if I didn't get the better one. Wow. I love my family so much.
Just bought a 15" MacBook Pro 3.06GHz 4GB RAM 500GB HD at 7200RPM...
and a Samsung T200HD HDTV/Monitor, MonoPrice MiniDP to HDMI adapter, and HDMI Cable...
and a Seagate Desk for Mac 1TB with FW800 to store my videos on...
and a Rocketfish Bluetooth Laser Mouse for Mac (a steal at $18)...
and an iPod Classic as a graduation present. There are also some other little things, and maybe an mStand. I can't wait for all this to arrive tomorrow and Friday. I only buy a new Mac every 4-5 years, and this is the best part.
Just letting you know, the mini display port to hdmi wont carry the audio from the macbook. You are going to need to run another audio cable
After debating and arguing with myself for months, I finally sold my iBook G4, and got this:
HP Mini 110 XP. Stock, except for the free upgrade to the 160 GB HDD. Should be here sometime in early July.
I recommend you install Windows 7 on that thing. Ditch XP. Windows 7 will fly.
I still have my eMac, don't worry. What pushed me over the edge was my PC dying two days ago. I need Windows XP for the webcomic I do, and since I was considering getting one of these anyway, it seemed like a good time to do it.No way! You got rid of it! Although I can't imagine the change will be pleasant. Using a netbook isn't quite using a full-featured laptop. But you have desktops, am I right? I would never use a netbook as my primary computer!
If I can get my desktop PC to work again (I think it just needs a power supply or something) then I will definitely do that.cleanup said:I recommend you install Windows 7 on that thing. Ditch XP. Windows 7 will fly.
