I actually use it as an SUV ... lot's of snow around here, and 4 wheeling in summer, best of the best, period.

I wouldn't use the snow argument. If that were the case than everyone in snowbelt regions would be driving around SUVs and that's obviously not the case especially in Ontario. People in those areas seem to get by just fine with FWDs.

I can understand the 4 wheeling argument though. Not my thing but to each their own.

When I become president of the USA, I'm gonna tax ppl $2,000 a year who own environmentally damaging vehicles (basically SUV's). I'm then gonna take the money from the taxed cars and give it to ppl who buy environmentally friendly cars. Be happy you're in Canada. ;)

This is why people with enviro friendly cars are seen floating in the water after a hurricane, and people with trucks and Hummers are seen towing them out.

No doubt they're not 'in' anymore if you're in the States ... your economy has forced the masses into the little econo cars, or as you call it now 'going green' ... Do you drive a Toyota by chance? ... not that there's anything wrong with that, (long live GM).

Cheap inside? Nooooo, all leather, luxury interior and H3's are built on an Escalade frame so the ride is as good as it gets .... this is my 2nd Hummer, I've owned all the SUV's out there, HUMMER WINS HANDS DOWN :) Unlike most, I actually use it as an SUV ... lot's of snow around here, and 4 wheeling in summer, best of the best, period.

Plus, I can break into a Toyota in under 30 seconds using a lock out kit. It takes half an hour to get into a Chevy Tahoe.

Bought a 2010 Hummer H3 this afternoon to replace my 2006 Hummer H3.

Quite a week, I ordered a 2010 Camaro this past Tuesday, just about need to pinch myself to make sure it's not a dream :)

i remember when hummer/humvee stood for something other than the new soccer mom "truck". gm made it just like any other solid axle SUV out there, just more expensive for the name.

enjoy the new camaro, they are sexy.

it doesn't take a half hour to get into a tahoe.

I think i would be fine with insurance and a built in gps locater..

"Earlier today, the heads of GM, Ford, and Chrysler appeared together in front of Congress to ask for a $25 billion bailout. And here's what's interesting. When asked what they would do with the money, all three of them said, 'Buy a new BMW.' "

Well, using a standard lockout kit, and not that metal bar, it takes a **** ton of effort to get into something like that. Trust me when I say this. I do service calls like this for the insurance companies. A Toyota can be done in less than 30 seconds. I can get into a Mini Cooper in about a minute. A Dodge Ram or a Tahoe or something like that takes a ton of effort.

On that Tahoe, I tried all four doors. I eventually had to get something to step up on to get on top of the driver's side door to get into it. Trust me, American SUV's and trucks are much harder to get into.

hey prez ... do your research compare the Environmental Impact rating of a Toyota Prius to a Hummer H3 ... then eat your words :) Ignorance is Bliss ... yes, VERY glad I'm in Canada, VERY VERY glad .... :D
I'm not talking about hybrids. The batteries are no better than all-gas vehicles. I'm talking about cars that get 35+ MPG and are ULEV. By the time I'm prez, hydrogen will be the rage. :D Some of the new SUV's get 30+MPG nowadays. The chevy traverse get's 32MPG. I'm talking about cars/SUVs that get less than 25MPG. For example, the new Challenger -- I'd tax that 2,000 a year.

And I'd vote for the other person so you'd be unemployed.

Ret. NYPD here...I would on occasion help people who would lock themselves out of their vehicle....once valid ID was presented, my partner would time me to see how fast I would get them in their vehicle using a slim jim and a pair of gloves!
