Oh!! Awesome and what are you getting? I love getting new toys. :D

I ordered the 27" i5 model. I have been waiting for a long time now for it to come (living in Greece has its disadvantages). If you saw the pic a few posts back of my bed, most of that stuff is for the iMac. I love new toys too! I just ordered the new Kodak Zi8 camera, upgraded my 16gb 3G to a 32GB 3Gs, and will be looking for more lol.

So I think I am ready for my iMac to come in. I got the i5 machine on order, and from what the company that we order from said, it should be here soon.

Question::Can the tv play Pandora radio on the tv set ? By the way, good choice on the Logitech mouse.

After purchasing the G11 (which is still on its way to me)...I just picked up a S90...same digic processor, G11 in a smaller body. I don't know which one I will keep but will be testing out both. I am in need of a non-dslr camera that I can use to take high quality street photos on the go and photos of my ebay items haha

Will be picking up a grip for it if I decide to keep the s90...so this is what I am getting!

Wow! nice!

Thanks :D

It's an upgrade from my old nVidia 8600GTS, and I just replaced the power supply yesterday (as it was going out). So I'm hoping that with this I can be content with my computer for awhile :p

P.S: Content for me is making it to summer with no further upgrades.. Then I'll use Intel's Retail Edge program and pick up an i7 920 or something of the likes, and 4-8GB of DDR3.. So maybe $300 then. :p

The Philips Living Colors Mini version in glossy black. It's brighter than I expected, but not bright enough for reading. Great mood effect. Some pics to give you an idea. :)

I CANTTTTTTTT! I ordered the i5 machine in late November, and I am still waiting for it. The company we order from in Greece doesnt get THAT many in stock, so I have to wait my turn. I originally ordered the 27" C2D, which I would have had by now, but I decided to go with the i5 because it was only 200 euros more. I can add the iPhone, but what fun is that. The big switch is going from the 2006 20" iMac to the 27" i5!

Aren't these things pretty expensive? I don't think I could justify the cost... though I have two sets of DIODER lights from IKEA which cost me 100$. I guess that is the same thing. haha.

The final product: Triple Monitor Setup

God, I would love to have a multi-monitor setup... too bad having a MBP sorta hinders we there (without the purchase of one of those external graphics units. I do use my MB's screen and 1 external, but I want more! :p

The newest digital ones are actually really pretty sweet and would easily power large displays. (like http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-Universal-Multi-Display-Adapter-Black/dp/B002F9NSMQ/ref=pd_sim_e_6 )

Hmmm, I always thought you needed one of these DualHead2Go things from Matrox... (Amazon Link) What makes the Matrox so much more expensive than the one that you have just linked?

Looking at their compatibility page (for the Matrox) they list a Max Resolution of 2048x768
(2x 1024x768) for my particular Macbook. I don't think that is right. I should be able to run two external monitors at 1600x900 from the 9600M, right? I thought it was a pretty capable card. Maybe that is just the limitations of the Matrox.

Have you used the device you linked me to push video greater than 2x 1024x768?

The one you really want is the DisplayPort version, which supports up to two 1920x1200 displays. (It accepts DisplayPort in to the device, then can output DisplayPort or DVI to your monitors.) The Triple Head version allows either two 1920x1200 or three 1680x1050.

Ahhh, that is indeed what I would want! I only have one external monitor as of right now... I will look into this more when I have enough money for both a second monitor and the Matrox device! :p Thank you for the information.

Yay..... even though the website has been sold out for over a week (probably longer) of almost all colors and sizes of this, I was able to get one. I called a store in Canada and bought one over the phone, and my friend who is visiting me this weekend is going to pick it up and bring it to me.

The 9600M in your laptop won't have anything to do with the Matrox or USB adaptors as its not used by them.

The Matrox dual/trip heads came out before DisplayLink (the tech the USB adaptors use, which is different then Display PORT) existed, they use their own proprietary GTM processing system, and have kept that path. The biggest difference with GTM vs DisplayLink is on the Matrox you can run multiple monitors off of one unit, for DisplayLink you need as many units as you want displays, up to 6.

If you go for DisplayLink, just make sure the unit you pick up includes Mac drivers...Tritton's are known to be a bit flakey, but there's a few others out there as well.

DisplayLink can do more for less money, but it takes a bit more leg work to find the quality units and Matrox has had longer to develop their drivers.

BTW, I own a dualHead2Go from Matrox personally for my laptop...

About time I moved up from the standard cables, these look a lot better on my HD tv; plus, about $9 with shipping from amazon isn't that bad either :D
