Well, I got the book on Friday, but have mostly been reading notes & stuff until today. NOT excited.

That's a nice tv.....I'm buying a Samsung 40" 1080p tomorrow as well. I plan on hanging it also...enjoy !
What kind of photography are you into? It seems as though you've just spent a ton of cash on lenses that are well regarded.

Got the iMac G5 on Saturday for $250
How fast is it compared to your laptop (especially if it's a core 2 duo)
I do a bit of everything. lol. I shoot cars and motorsports for my local magazine and JDM features. I also shoot journalism stuff that ends up on the web or in the brochures and catalogs. Those are my main gigs, apart from that I do occasional shoots of whatever. lol. Sometimes I do get the pleasure of shooting with my friend for Getty images. That is one awesome place!! luv it. lol.
My laptop is a C2D 2.0ghz Thinkpad T61 running Ubuntu 9.10. The G5 is pretty slow compared to the Thinkpad, but it's usable. The iMac is just nice from a user experience standpoint, and lots of things are interoperable with Linux.
