Am I the only one who is affected by the recession?

You wouldn't feel this way if everyone who is not able to spend a penny extra actually posted on here. They would probably flood this thread. Keep in mind, some people sell stuff and use that money to make the purchases they post on here.

For example, I sold my Nikon 18-200mm VR lens for $550 and bought the Sigma 70-200mm HSM II for $650. I spent $100, where you might think I paid retail ($799) right from my wallet.

But where do the people who buy the stuff you're selling get their money? ;)

Sorry for the OT, but does anyone know a European or even German reseller for those Studio RTA desks or at least a similar looking desk? I want one so badly!:(

Purchased MineCraft. It's a free game right now, but it gives me the option to do this:

(It's construction clothing (I made it). Being a game about building blocks basically, thought it was only logical :D.)

For 50% off, rather just buy it now and now wait until the price goes up.

I think it looks great actually!

Haha thanks...but alas I hit a snag ---- lost one of the hinges haha. I started this project a while ago and the hinge is no where to be found.

So just to wrap things up, turning this thing into an HTPC/ mac mini. It was hackintoshed, so just going to use my ipod touch as a remote and hook it up to some wireless keyboard.

Sweet! I got the same one yesterday, and I am loving the high-res display. I'm used to the 15-inchers. When I take it from room to room, I do feel like I'm carrying a small table, but I don't mind :D

Yeah, I was thinking of going the iMac route, but it'd be nice to get rid of my old MacBook and work at home with the same amount of efficiency. If I got the iMac it'd have to stay at the office :(

Nevermind, I spend a few hours on research and found a German manufacturer for those desks:)
I plan to buy 3 elements so I come up with a work space of 240x170cm.

Please post pictures in the setup thread, we really need some more 17inchers over there! It would be great to see them :p
