1xHj

excellent movie!!!!!! thanks for reminding me to purchase!!

No need to wait to burn them in, just listen to them while they do. I do not think they will benefit much from burn in time anyway..

mm, everyone on headfi says the opposite though. it starts off muddy and overpowering, but after some long burn in time, it really hits everything well. oh well, we'll see when they get here.

right earbud of my sonys died on me tonight, so i used my amazon gift money to buy a pair of Klipsch S4s.

Excellent choice! I bought a pair of Skullcany full metal earbuds that retail for about the same price thinking they would sound great. Wrong, they sounded horrible. I went and got the Klipsch S4's instead and couldn't be happier. :D

Bose QC15

Going to mexico tomorrow so I picked these up today. Tried out the Beats by Dre but those seemed to have way too much base and didn't feel right/heavy/slide off my head. I always in enjoyed my Triports and so far I am loving these.

This isn't aimed at Jeenyusboy, but may I just ask a general question in this thread: why on Earth do people still insist on buying Bose products? Bose creates some of the worst sound equipment for the prices they ask. Why not go with Sennheiser (personal fav) or Shure? For $300 (the MSRP of those Bose headphones) there are massively better headphones out there. Isn't the old adage that Bose is actually an acronym and stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment? I understand the commercials might lure you in at 3am, but if you're investing that much money into a product, why not just research what you're getting?

This general concept, along with going to the physical, brick and mortar store where you'll have to pay tax and likely MSRP are two things that drive me crazy about consumers these days. Amazon.com, baby!

</rant>

^edit: I guess you could say lots of people don't notice the difference in quality

They actually make very decent equipment...they just charge too much for it.

i heard that bose has an artificially warm sound and increased bass to give the impression of quality, but the rest of the range is rather bad for what else you could buy for the same amount. Bose is the brand for the layman, not the audiophile.

Yeah, but what's to stop a layman from doing five minutes of research? Just doesn't make sense to me.

These headphones are actually quite good. Pricey, but they are solid hardware. Reviews are all very positive

(that said, I'll agree, many Bose products aren't as good as they good be and cost to much)

K maybe you guys can help me out. I've been trying to find some decent earphones for a while now & just can't find any I really love. I need some that will stay in my ears while working out. The different in-ear 'phones I've used tend to fall out while exercising, or back out enough that I can't hear bass and overall they just sound like poo.

Any suggestions?

3 for $10 so I grabbed the only KoRn dvd i was missing and some leppard, wu-tang.

I would get some new tips for the IEMs you have currently before buying anything new. I'm sure something will work, they're basically just ear plugs.
Sure your cramming them in your ears far enough?

Yeah, that's part of the problem. I jam them in my ear, then after a while they start to hurt. …then they fall out.

I'm curious about these:

Anyone have experience with these? I wear glasses tho…so over-ear 'phones might not work too well.

When it comes to rap for me its one of three categories.

1.Classic rap
2.Stupid stuff i grew up with
3.The few rap artists today i call real, Tech N9ne and Immortal Technique to name a few.

Edit: also big in to the psychopathic records stuff

Because you wear glasses, these are a good pair to consider. Sennheiser MX75. They are made to hold themselves into your ears. I was considering them for myself, too, for running outside with sunglasses.

You're going to love those headphones. Active noise reduction makes such a huge difference on long airplane trips.

Why on Earth do people still insist on buying Bose products?

I agree that Bose home theater products are mediocre-sounding and overpriced, but their ANR headphones are some of the best you can buy. Their ANR aviation headsets are absolutely the best on the market.

I prefer isolation.

Everyone has their thoughts on Bose. I can understand why people buy their headphones, but it's a shame when people buy their headphones without getting a chance to test the alternatives. (This could be applied to anything) As I've stated for a while, I don't believe Bose makes utter crap (except for the In-Ear headphones), but they make products way overpriced.

All that matter is that the user is satisfied.

Yay!
