I'm somewhat amazed at how many people are buying this battery charger.

Agreed. There are MUCH better chargers, but my battery charger cost over $600, so I am not at all amazed as to why so few buy it ;-)

Picked up another kit so that I do not need to change setup between 17.5 open esc class and open mod class:

The ride height in the pics is a bit high. I tend to run between 5.5mm and 6.5mm :D

Already setting up a return for the $110 gen 2 refurb Kindle (that I promised I would not return) for the new Kindle with wifi. Should arrive in time for my sisters birthday. At $139 the Kindle is really starting to hit the right price range. If I sell my iPad the Kindle all of sudden looks enticing for books.

I'm confused. Why add Wi-Fi if Kindle users already get free global 3G?

I'm guessing it was Amazon's way of introducing a cheaper Kindle. To do that they removed 3G but added wifi. The wifi model is $139 and the 3G model is $189. It allows Amazon to have a Kindle that is very close to the price range of impulse buying and still keep the $189 price for the 3G Kindle which has not changed. I can see a lot of people buying the wifi only model. My sister will rarely make a book purchase on the go considering she reads reviews on Amazon/research and takes a bit of time to choose her next book. Browsing on the Kindle is horrible so 3G is not really a big deal if your not purchasing on the go.

Ohh, I see. But the 3G Kindle has WiFi as well, which I find a bit redundant.

It's true though. At $139 it could easily find its way into my hands even if I already have an iPad.

I guess if the 3G coverage is spotty you have wifi for backup if it's available or at home.

New York, Baby!
Preparing for my room in a shared house, today I received this:

web.jpg

A wired Apple keyboard, mainly because I'm not sure of the size of the desk I'll have, the fact that I need the USB connection for BIOS time on my hackintosh sometimes, and the fact that my current Apple Pro keyboard has a really klunky space key!

It was £15 on eBay, presumably from someone who got it with an iMac...

Hopefully the Magic Mouse will follow for my birthday :D

My goodness! That is one beautiful dock! I know what I want for Christmas... :p

Wonder how these compare to my VAF Octavio. Mine definitely sounds like I have two separated speakers, but given the size of my iPod speakers, I suppose they are.

My speakers produce a lot of low and mid-range, but unfortunately, it doesn't do very low bass well.

Anyway, I'd love to hear these Geneva Sound speakers for a comparison.

Yeah i've heard nothing but good things about them. they have some more high end units that are in the 1k + range so i decided to try this out first. i was going to go with a white one but I think it looks too APPLE esque wanted something that would look nice on a book shelf or in the kitchen.
