Just bought this for my good friend who is about to take a month long trip to Australia. Comes with 3 batteries total, and a UV filter for the 14-42mm lens. Pretty much mint and still under warranty from a stand up seller. All for $385 shipped. Perfect!

Bought Pulsonic at Target for $67 bucks because I liked the look...but came home to read reviews that the brush head goes loose sometimes...

That and this Triumph 5000 has all the bells and whistles for about the same price when purchased from ebay. Got it for $72 shipped instead of the $100 on amazon. Apparently Oral B's best brush. Who knows. All I know is can't wait to try it. Pulsonic is going back!

Nope this is my first brush. I went for the Oral B line because I like the brush heads. After brief research, flexcare looks overall more expensive but has a great following as well. Can't go wrong with either I guess! Hope it improves my dental hygiene!

I was comparing the Oral-B and Philips when I was buying mine, and after consulting my dentist as well as colleagues at the hospital, I was told that a lot of users get recessed gums (gum line) from using the Oral-B. Just thought I give you a heads up.

Hmm haven't read anything about that in my comparisons.

Good to know though..although I am sure any electronic toothbrush will be better than a mechanical one. The recessed gumline is probably due to the shape of the brush head, as it is circular and surrounds the tooth, whereas the soniccare one is elongated and sits on top of the tooth.

I wouldn't agree with that. It's really all about your brushing technique.

I've gotten recommendations from my dentist to pick up an electronic one since it does a more complete job of cleaning. I am sure it is about brushing technique, but hey any added advantage to protect your teeth in the end is a good one.

9 out of 10 dentists recommend....... ;)

Different dentists will recommend different things. The most important thing to do is to floss before you brush. Also, brushing in circles and up and down instead of back and forth will save your gums....

Once you have the brush and decide if you like it, it takes a little getting used to, you may want to sign up for Amazon's Subscribe and Save program for brush heads. We've got the older top-of-the-line model before they added the LCD display, I think it's the 8500 or something like that and was recommended and sold by our dentist. We both love it and have gotten improved checkups since using it. Word to the wise: when it's loaded with toothpaste don't turn it on unless it's in your mouth

Picking up a micro-SIM to SIM adaptor so when I purchase an iPhone 4, I can still use my other devices.
