nice lens! congrats for your purchasemay I ask what Nikon DSLR model do you Own? I'm thinking about getting me a prime lens and I need a G model (lens AF motor) cause my D3100 doesn't have a buil-it motor and I like to have AF, So I'm really torn between picking up this 35mm 1.8G or saving some money and get the 50mm 1.4G. Let me know how do you like it
I plan on using it on a D90. It is my first prime lens. I think the 50mm 1.4 is a better lens. It also allows for more light. Just remember your camera is a DX camera and this lens is for full frame. So when you put that 50mm lens on your D3100 it will now be a 75mm? (is my math correct) lens. You might also want to hold out for June when Nikon will be shipping the new 50mm 1.8. Nikon lists it at I think $220 which isn't that bad. Might pick it up too and see which one i prefer.

What body do you plan on using it with?Edit - just saw best buy's pricing... what a big difference. I payed 280. My local camera store was selling it for $400. I wonder why the price difference.
He did one of those dianostics at the genius bar and 2 things did not have a green check like the other things..he said the drive is bad$700 to replace a hard drive ??!?!
Im gonna trouble shoot alittle with it, lets see what happens..it had a blinking folder with a question mark on the screen and i could not even open the computer it was just stuck on that screen...I had that white mac for 4 1/2 years

Yep, I think you're right, I knew about the crop factor on a DX camera. Also, I hadn't heard anything about this new 50mm lens coming in june at a cheaper price, At this point I think i'll wait and give it a try. (even though I'll have to wait at least 1-2 more months to have it available here in Italy, just like with my D3100)

Have not been here for a week since my hard drive died on my white iMac ??
I got one of those blinking folders with the question mark on my old mac and took it to the genius bar and he said the drive died ?? he said it will cost $700.00 to repair the disk then he said i was better off buying a new mac and so i did.
Does apple do data recovery? That's the only reason I can think of that would make a drive replacement cost so much.

You just passed on being able to play the 2011 game of the year (Uncharted 3) unless you buy back a PS3.
If u visited gaming sites like N4G.com, you would know that PSN is coming back this week.
At least if you are going to call GOTY in May, give it to the correct game. Everyone knows the real winner this year is Portal 2, which can be played both offline AND online right now on 360.

Got 2 of them. Should be here today I think. I went and bought my first 25 dollar card for my first month. Wife has to wait for her straight talk plan to go out next month to top up and use hers. I also got a bling gel type case for hers with hearts and crap and I got a plain white silicone case.
My parents used to smoke, up untill the late seventies, and I remember that they used to get cartons, not single packs for those kind of prices.

I use that here and there (mainly when we are out of K Cups), and I found it does not seem to be that strong as compared to the K Cups.
Yeah, I knew that before I purchased it. I'm not a fan of extremely bold coffee.....I'm more of a medium roast kind of guy (fun fact: the darker the roast, the less caffeine in the bean. The roasting burns the caffeine off). I typically use the Donut Shop K-Cups and use the 10 oz setting.
I think this will work well for me. Plus, my wife likes to drink flavored coffee, and also likes a milder roast, so this will work well for her as well.

If you read the blog you will see they just finished the servers and they are testing. Im done with school now so I no longer have high speed, also psn is always having some type of problem.
I also didnt like uncharted on ps3, why abandon everyone elses control scheme and start your own? If you are going to veer away from 90% of games at least let me assign my own controls. And nothing beats Halo for a non-camped fun fast shooter
My wife has that plan. $25 per mo for 300 min talk and unlimited data services. Coverage can be spotty. Her job takes her from the Washington coast to the Canadian boarder. Seattle and Tacoma are fine. JB is in Utah.
