FYI, I wound up returning this case. Sadly, it does not fit a DSLR with a grip on it :( Assuming you don't have one, the case fits my T3i with 55-250 perfectly. The hammock thing is a little weird but everything fits in their perfectly. Great case to tote around your DSLR. Just wished it would fit mine. Guess I'll keep looking. The side pockets aren't that big however if you're just looking to carry around a battery, filters or maybe some cables, then it should work out just fine.

Thanks for the update/feedback. I'll probably order that one or one of the other models listed. Good to hear that it fits the T3i and that lens. Actually, I too have a T3i. I don't have a grip so that case should work out well for me.

What would happen to the camera inside the case if it had one of the shorter lenses on it, like a 50mm? Would it cause the camera to be unstable in that case, or does that hammock thing keep everything secure inside?

Thanks again.

Understanding Exposure is a great book for beginners. There's a lot of useful information in there. I still occasionally read parts from it.

Agreed! I learned some good info from that book. It's also become my current coffee table book.

Ergo Keyboard and trackball.

Holding off on chair. Not sure if I can sit with it for very long.

May work remotely from home. current chair allows slouching.

I've been wanting this for a while, and almost bought one a couple weeks ago...then just a few days ago I realized my credit card offered it as a reward for points redemption, so I got it...I wanted the black but the CC rewards only had it in classic red, so I can't complain since it was free...Victorinox Swisschamp:

I already fixed several things around the house with it, and cut down some brush out back...the saw is no joke on this thing.

No, I think it should be fine. The hammock thing is somewhat adjustable so you can raise/lower it in the bag (it's attached by Velcro) With the shorter lens on it, it should still be quite safe/stable in the bag. I think you'll like it. Very nice bag and seems to be constructed quite nicely.

I'm debating one of these for a few different uses in making my own films - Road trips, camping, kayaking, Mountain Biking, etc.

I'm curious as to what you plan on using yours for?

I have a few ideas for what i want to do with it. Since I do duke of ed i wanted to record my hikes and make a time lapse so a can show people, i also want to use it on my quad and a few other creative ideas i have.

Logitech S315i Rechargeable Speaker
($55.00 via Amazon.com)
Overall sound quality is excellent, haven't tested battery life yet but it does what I need for an AirPlay speaker in my bathroom. They are about $20.00 more today compared to Thursday when I ordered it but the prices should go down.

Samsung N series 11.6" ultrabook.
I love this thing! Only ~2lbs and it's fast. I got it to use for note taking in my classes. I am tired of lugging around my 15" mbp all over campus on my back  I got a really good deal too! Brand new on ebay.
