Acer 243H LABMii 24" monitor, which I'd really like to plug into an updated 2012 Mac Mini, but until then it's going to be friends with an '06 model.

if stuff really sells for as cheap as they say then who in their right mind would put something for auction there. so they can lose money?

They don't lose money. It's a penny auction format but the bids actually cost between .10 and .25 each. They make a killing by only selling hot items. If the bid started at .01 and went up to 3.63 that's 362 bids. At .25 per bid its around $90. Then whoever wins pays the final price bringing it to about $95. The person that wins does great and really no matter how many bids they place will probably do better than buying it elsewhere but because each bid adds time to the auction it can go on and on and on. It's a dangerous game to play.

Got this a few weeks ago. It's a Lakland DJ-4. It's one of the best playing basses I've ever owned over the past 42 years.
