EF200mm f/2.8 L lens. Quite a nice bit of glass, sadly the weather has been quite bad this week so not had chance to play much.

Total cost? if you don't mind me asking. :) I'd love to do this when I have a house of my own one day.

$27,000 upfront, but with tax benefits it will run me net $12-13,000.

Where I live electricity is off the charts expensive. It will have paid for itself by 2015.

Nice to see the meter spin backwards, and doing a little part for the environment doesn't hurt either.

Got a few extra panels for when electric cars get a little bit more reliable.

At our MUG meeting last night: Two Apple mice, one wired one not, one wired McNally keyboard a personal favorite, and a fully functional 1.42 G4 Mac Mini for ten bucks(just the mini).

Columbia is a nice, affordable brand name so you should be quite happy with that. And if $90 for a jacket is expensive then please don't look at any NorthFace/Arctyerx jackets. Some of their jackets are more then my monthly car payments.

I don't think $90 is expensive for a jacket. I do know it's the most expensive jacket I've ever bought, though.

I was looking at TNF and Arc'tyerx, but the cheaper ones in my price range. Well..mostly TNF.

I was mostly looking at Columbia, though. So, I got one that hopefully works for my needs.

22 of these bad boys. Goodbye electric bills.

How much power is your system putting out? I don't know the specs of those panels.

Are you running a battery bank?

I don't know your power usage, but I can guarantee you're not going to totally get rid of your electric bill.

Still, it's awesome that you have a solar system. Solar power is sorta a hobby for me. I have panels for different applications etc. Not a full house system, yet. My next house will have a system integrated with a decent size battery bank. LED lighting throughout house etc.

Garmin Forerunner 10. My FR110 is officially dead and I needed another budget model. This seems to be the best at this price point, and has a few extra features.

Highly exciting purchase: a puncture repair kit to keep in the jersey.

Even more exciting is the anti-seize I ordered for my bike.

Damn I have an exciting life.

The system has only been live for 1 day and has produced 27kwh last month we used 200kwh.

27x30=810kwh I think we should be covered.

No need for batteries since we are still plugged into the grid. The meter just spins backwards during the day and forward at night.

The beauty of the setup is that they have a program called net metering here in hawaii. During summer time you generate more energy. Any excess gets rolled over to the next months electric bill as a credit. During the rainy gray winter I can cash in on the sun from the summer and still have no electric bill.

Very environmentally-friendly. How much did this system cost you and how big is it?

Here
Had to take back my open box discontinued radio to Best Buy because the audio input was only working for my left speakers. Since I got the Geek squad protection I just grabbed this one and payed the $20 difference. Instead of a CD player, I now have Bluetooth, with phone controls and mic. Very handy since I drive a manual truck in need of an alignment, and is near impossible to talk and drive.

And the other day I went to target to grab The Avengers blu ray for the discount, but they were out. So I just price matched at Best Buy. Ballin' movie. Btw it comes with a slip case, I just have mine off.
