Selling my iMac and bought this to replace it:

15" rMBP, 2.6GHz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD

I prefer having a laptop over a desktop, and after selling my MBA I really started missing having a portable other than my iPad. Super excited! :D

Why didn't you get the 13"? Was the integrated GPU a deal breaker for you?

Kind of. It was more so the "value" of the overall cost. It was about a $250 dollar difference between the model I bought and the 13" 2.9GHz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD configuration. Since I'm coming from my iMac, I wanted something that was as close to performance as possible, and the 15" gave me that. I was really hoping on the slight chance that the 13" would at least have some of the CPU options of the 15", like the base quad-core chip, but since it doesn't, I find the 13" very over priced in comparison.

Great purchase! Only con is that insane Retina resolution has its toll.

Sold my NAS to a business and part of the deal was to set it all up and go and install etc ;)

I finally got a new tripod.

It's a much needed upgrade from my old tripod (old one was limited to 8lbs); I took my Gigapan out into the field and boy was it windy. My camera setup was blown over and it would have been very expensive if it didn't hit my head (I was sitting downwind next to the tripod).

Apart from wearing a helmet, I picked up this Gitzo GT3541 series 3 tripod with a Manfrotto 468MGRC0 hydrostatic ball head and a Wimberly QR clamp. Holds up to 35lbs (ball head limit). Already look it out in the field and the difference is tremendous. No more shake or movement.

Should last just about forever.

Every other non-Retina display will look like crap.

Please post back how those are working out for you?

I used to run Green drives, but they kept breaking, so I switch to Blacks, but they do get very hot and consume a lot more power.

Couldn't justify going for the 14-24 just yet so I'm giving this bad boy a try. Image

Excellent lens.

The 14-24 and the this one isn't really displacing one another. The 14-24 is really a speciality tool, whereas the 16-35 works for more settings.

Would you mind posting some pics and your thoughts when you get it?

The wallet arrived today and as promised here are my thoughts on the wallet and some Gnex quality photos of it ;):

Overall I really like the build quality, no issues with it, no problems with the threads, etc...

The service of the shop is also great as when I purchased it it said sold out and so I asked the seller if they would ever sell this particular model again, they replied quickly and said no but then said they'd have similar models soon. I thought all right, I guess thats fine (was a little bummed out). Then the next day i got a message from them saying they had enough wool to make 4 more of these wallets and said I would have one reserved for me.

Bottom Line: I really am satisfied with this purchase and I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a wallet

2013 Jetta TDI Premium with Nav for the girlfriend. She loves it and is a big step up from the 2005 Camry she was driving.

Well it can easily hold 3 credit cards in each pocket and there are 4 pockets and so 12.

I highly recommend this if your going to buy this.
By the way the seller is Ohsoretro on Etsy.com if you are going to purchase this.

Hope I helped :)

Jumped on the iPhone 5 bandwagon earlier this week...

( but it is a great phone and a great update from my iPhone 4. The system and network speed alone are worth the upgrade.)
