Bought these since they were, essentially, on clearance for $15. They are actually very good headphones which surprised me. The bass on these is pretty good so these headphones have been promoted to my daily use headphones now.

I've ordered a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB/32MB hybrid drive to replace the slow one in that's in there. I also tried to order a 16GB RAM kit from Crucial, but they're sold out as it seems everyone else in the world is also upgrading their Mini!

Excellent purchases! Wish the Nest's would work in the UK :(

Isn't hydronic heating the most common form in the UK? Do you have hydronic? The reason I ask is (we do here in the states) I've been told by two different boiler repair guys that smart (or setback) thermostats shouldn't be used for hydronic heat because of the long cool down and heat up times. Is that what you're referring to or is there something about the Nest thermostat in particular that they don't work in the UK?

I don't know what do you mean (lol) but I live in the UK and only thing we have is just a heating. We don't have any kind of cooling system e.g. in summer. Is that what you mean? :D

Hydronic heat is hot water heat, either with wall radiators or under floor tubing. Because the water has to heated it takes a considerable amount of time, like hours, to bring a cold system up to temperature. Of course it doesn't take as long for less severe temperature changes, but it's considerably longer than forced air heat that responds immediately to temperature changes. This slowness to respond is why hydronic heat doesn't work well with smart, programmable, setback type thermostats. Is that the reason you can't use the "Smart" thermostat in the UK?

Decided to stick with boxing and using the communal gloves was getting a little gross. Important to work out that aggression. :D

Any different from the old S4i's? All I see is new tangle free cord? Any update to the drivers/sound?

Well I never had or used the old S4i's so I don't know if there is that big of a difference from the older ones to the new model. but I did have s2's before and its a huge improvement. It seems to me just a new tangle free cord and maybe better sound but this one has better build quality as I read the s4i had ok but not the best build quality. Also it now comes with a nice soft case instead of the tin case it used to come with.

How do they sound??? I want a pair, but waiting till my soundmagics crap out

I just got NFS Most Wanted on iPad :D

They sound great. They are a bit base heavy so if you like that then you will like them. I tried out etymotic mc3's before and they were not to my liking as they had no base.

If you don't mind the question, where to and from? I've noticed crazy high prices for many-a-place, flying out of Detroit of course.

Just donated $50. Hopefully East-coasters will return the favor when California sinks into the ocean. :D

I did the same thing, via iTunes on my iPad. It's not much, but every little bit helps. Especially because my best friend lives in NJ and was in one of the hardest hit areas. Thank god she and her home are alright.
