All six volumes of Eureka 7, the first 4 of Fullmetal Alchemist, and Lord of the Flies and The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

My dad surprised me and bought me a new Macbook pro. Reason? He thought my Macbook Air 11" was too small.

It's the 13.3 inch Pro, NOT retina, 750gb hard drive, 8 gigs of ram, i7.

:D

The item below is called a girolle. It is used to "slice" a particular cheese...tete de moine. It doesn't really slice it, it creates very thin curls or florets. The cheese is a Swiss cheese, but not the one with the holes. It's sharp, nutty, and intense,

I wonder if the base and the knob are made out of different kinds of wood? The pictures do look like it. But congrats, a beautiful tool.

Good eye!!!:D

The base is wood, the knob is ABS plastic. It feels a lot like wood, but is not.

The girolle was specifically created to "slice", for the lack of a better word, only one cheese...tete de moine. Of course it can be used on any hard cheese which comes in a wheel. But I thought it was amazing the it was created for only one cheese.

Also scored a BabyBjorn carrier for the new babe:

Enjoy! Those things are a life saver the first few weeks with a newborn. Our girl who is now 9 months was in the Bjorn at least once a day the first few weeks of being home as it was one of the only ways she would sleep. Once she got a bit older she still liked it, but once she hit 6 months she started to get really bad nappy rash whenever we put her in it, so we brought a Manduca then and shes been sweet as in it since. Still loved the Bjorn though!

J5 create Ultrastation.

Got sick of the Moshi adapter, and the HDMI->DVI cords burning out after 2 months of use.

Great little docking station, needs some software refinement from the manufacture, but the support is good nonetheless.

1 cable (usb 3.0) to my MBA, and everything else to the station. Done.
Working well.

Returned. I wanted this to work so badly, but the drivers are just not up to standards.

HDMI input to my 32" TV creates flickering.
When you unplug and re-plug, it creates a Kernel panic :(
Does not power a USB2 for a time machine backup.

I called the company on a few occasions to see if new drivers were on the horizon to fix the issues; yet they seemed to be clueless on when new drivers would be forthcoming. Furthermore they just tried to sell me another product (HDMI to Mini DP), to work with my external monitor.

Oh well, back to the cable solution that seems to only last for 2 months before it develops a short and needs to be swapped out.

Have tried Moshi's HDMI->Mini display port (2), and the Kanex HDMI->Mini Display cable (1). Both shorted in 2 months or <.

That sucks. I have always been annoyed with how hard it is to just connect a mac to a HDTV, what with all the adapters and compatibility etc etc. Since I got rid of all my macs, I have been pleasantly surprised with the HDMI out port on my little ASUS ultraportable. So convenient!

Anyways - scratch the above, I picked up a classic pre unibody from the forums for a nice deal. Just sent payment last night. I really miss having OSX to manage files and media, so I guess this will be the machine while I save for the top tier iMac again. Also picked up 2 verizon iphones as gifts for my parents, along with 2 x new wrapped headphones and 2 x new wrapped cables to make these look new. Finally picked up a gemshell case for my mom's white iphone. Can't wait to give these to them!!
