Just bought a few gifts. The astro a50s are for me. That way I don't disturb the neighbours.

Thought I'd share my most insignificant purchase. A bunch of these new Unreal54 natural M&M clones. They're grrrrrrrreat!

We mostly use a horse and cart. Or the famous red buses if you live in London!

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was in Paris and majority of people were walking. I've never seen so many people walking in the US unless I was in NYC or DC.

I think that's how it is in any area of high population. It's almost an inconvenience to drive and rather expensive (a parking space cost money).

Didn't think you were. We pay a lot more tax on fuel in the UK than just about everywhere else in the world. That's why everybody walks! If costs me around £75 to fill my small 1.6L Ford Focus (a small family car). As I get about 30 mpg not great.
When I lived in London lots of people just get by with the tube or bus. In the rest of the UK it's not so good.

Your roads must smell like horse manure. :D

Only in the country. In the towns the small boys that don't clean chimneys for a living clean up the manure!

Common first job, we usually work in fast food while still in high school here in the USA. If McDonalds ever gets to the U.K. I suspect it will be a big transition for you guys. :D You're a lot like what we call the Amish. :D

Anyway, seriously though. I haven't been to the U.K., but have spent a lot of time in a few large U.S. cities and a lot of time in Korea and Japan. Public transportation is nice in the cities, but it's going to be a long time before the majority of the U.S. will be like that. Our population density is just so small.

I remember being in Atlanta for the Olympics. We stayed out of town and thought we would get the train in each day. It turned out to be much cheaper and quicker to drive in each day. Anybody who tried that in London would have found it quite different!

Yup, once you're out of the metro area public buses and trains scarce.

Boxing day in Canada! My fiancee and I got a bunch of gift cards to BB, Home Sense, FS, and Walmart so we made our rounds today.

Picked up some JBL Duet II's for 21 dollars!

My fiancee picked up a couple of coffee table books and Just Dance 4 for the Wii.

I got best buy to price match lighting cables to this amazon listing for generic cables. WIN!

The manager was very suspicious, but ended up doing it for me.

I also exchanged my belkin grip candy sheer for a new one because it was defective.
