I am coming from 2008 model so it's going to be a huge upgrade for me.

I have to agree if you. I think the TB is useless to me as we well. I think I will upgrade to 16GB of RAM and 256 HD tho.

I have 2 kids under 5 as well so I will have to get one of those adapters as well.

You said you upgraded the HD but did you upgrade the RAM? If not is 8GB enough?

I did not and it's more than enough for me. I do very light photo editing at the most. Lots of browsing, spreadsheets, editing of word documents. Plenty for me and hasn't hiccuped once.

its fantastic.

Went in to my local Apple store intending to pick up a new 12.9 iPad Pro and some accessories but walked out with these instead.

Like new copy of this rare French dvd release of Shaw Brothers The Magic Blade (it is in Mandarin and has English subs). Not sure if the picture quality is better than my American dvd release, but for the price I haggled the seller down to, no worries. I've seen these WildSide Shaw Brothers dvds going for double and triple what I spent so that works for me. I wish Celestial would release this on Blu Ray and digital already. It's the only movie featuring this Ti Lung character that isn't on iTunes now (and of course it's the first movie with said character).

I wanted to try out a 30g Topre keyboard, which only came in the full-size 108US. Might try the HiPro next, though I'm really not crazy about full-size keyboards anymore.

Just picked up the new iMac 21.5" Retina 4k a few days ago. Had a rMBP that was a good computer, but the 128GB was an issue. Even being tethered to an external drive wasn't enough.....couldn't install some programs that used alot of space. I love the display on the iMac, but i can certainly tell i'm not on an SSD drive. I'm still happy tho

I have a Realforce Topre 55g tenkeyless. Really the best keyboard I've ever had. Working 9 hours a day on it programming.

Just bought a K-Type at Massdrop arriving in November with 45g Halo True (Cherry Brown-like) for home. Looking forward to trying it out!

Very nice! The Realforce 87U is one of my favorite keyboards. I actually find 45g to be the sweet spot, though I can certainly see why most people seem to prefer 55g.

And I say that having quite a few keyboards to compare... but most have their own character and are nice to put in the rotation:

WhiteFox (Gateron Brown)
Topre Realforce 87UW 55g (uniform)
Topre Realforce 87U 45g (uniform)
Topre Realforce 108US 30g (uniform)
HHKB Pro 2 (~45g uniform Topre)
IBM Model M ('90)
IBM Model M SSK ('87)
NMB RT-101 & RT-8255C+ (Hi-Tek Space Invaders)
Keytrak (Blue Alps)
Chicony KB-5181 (Monterey Blue Alps)
KPT-102 (KPT Alps)
G80-1800 (MX Blue)
KUL ES-87 (62/65g Purple Zealios)
CM QFR (MX Red)
Das Keyboard Ultimate S (MX Brown)
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2012 (MX Blue)
Apple Aluminum BT
Realforce 23u Numpad
Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate (RGB rubber dome)

Still really want to try the Realforce 104UG HiPro with those tall, extra clackey keycaps... but might have to trim down the collection a bit first. :D
