In the past week? A Saab S340, S2000, Avro RJ-70, RJ-85, BAe 146 and a 767. Well, flightsim models at least.

The Saab is much like their cars - well built and thought out, reliable, but only what you need to go from point A to B and back again.

Also have an Apple TV 4K coming tomorrow that I got for $30 thanks to trade in credits.

So I decided to purchase the Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 Lens, so I purchased the Lens from Amazon for I'm a Prime Member last Thursday. About a couple of hours later I decided to purchase Bed Bug Killer for I am having a little problem with bed bugs. So someone in Amazon's shipping department in their infinite wisdom decided to package them together. A 600 dollars lens in with Bug Bug Killer that was 17 dollars, so I just so happen to see the mail person today coming up the sidewalk with my package inside a mail carrier. She gestures to the package that you guessed it was leaking. It was leaking so bad that it was even going through the mail carrier that the package was in. I took one look at it and said nope not accepting the package and told the person to send it back to Amazon.

So I contacted Amazon's Customer Service telling my story of woe and asked in the a frustrated manner "what can be done to resolve this problem?". Their reply was "We have to wait to get the shipment back in order to issue a refund". I said "Even after it was Amazon's fault the way they package the items?". "Sorry that is company policy" and then I ask "If I re-order can I get at least get free expedited delivery? After it was Amazon's fault in the first place." "At the time you decide to re-order just contact Customer Service" was the reply. I was getting frustrated and a little ticked off, so I say "OK, I will just wait for the refund and order the lens from another company (B&H Photo)". So I did and order the lens from B&H Photo.

I liked ordering my camera gear from Amazon for they seem to have reasonable prices if not the same prices as other retailers. However, after this little fiasco I'm rethinking purchasing camera equipment from Amazon. It just one of these where

Terrible company! I use Amazon for convenience, but always buy camera gear from a proper camera company. Good luck with the lens next time!

Home (home/office). I’ve grown tired of replacing inkjet cartridges despite being a low volume user.

My needs are 99%+ black & white and had no idea lasers have gotten so inexpensive.

This is my current thought also.

Walked into my nearest Apple store today and grabbed a SG XS Max 256. Surprisingly, they had a ton of stock of every configuration. Had I known this, I would have gone yesterday. Time to cancel my pre order now.

Of course, now that I confirmed my all region blu ray player is behaving...

Pre-ordered:

(Yeah, I have almost every extra from this...but, it's my all time favorite movie and my constant purchases of various special editions has gone on for decades. Why stop now?) :p

And with the savings on the EFNY set, I also pre-ordered the one movie in Carpenter's ouvre that still scares the heck out of me, almost 30 years after I first saw it:

That ending messes me up every time I watch. It's so well done and unnerving. Now the pizza faced possessed blonde? Not so much. :p
