Oh god, this is exactly what i am trying to avoid buying impulsively.. that picture didnt help me
Tried to replace my mobile life with a Chromebook. Didn't go well when I needed an Ethernet port in the server closet the other day. Back to my favorite Mac ever. It amazes me how much they hold their resale value.
That would be epic if they released a 11 inch air with the same reduced bezels that the 13 has and in space gray.
And a retina screen; you are describing my dream computer.
Actually, the 11" is my favourite computer ever (I'm writing the post on one).
Assembly was very easy and quick. Getting the stuff out of the two shipping boxes was a bit tougher; they packed it all very well. What took the most time was doing all the cable management and deciding where, what and how I was going to plug everything in.
Here it is raised up with my Linux mini computer, headphones, headphone amp and DAC all set up.
It looks great! I like it very much. Also, I’m glad assembly was fast and easy. That’s always the scary part. I don’t stand too often, but like the option.
I am working on this now. getting a bit board with the lego kits. going with the kits others design. the parts end up costing more and its more work to get them but they are more detailed
When they work, they can work very well, but I have experienced many, many office nightmares as well.

It would be a day 1 buy for me. I have been trying to convert to tablet but it’s just not cutting it like a real computer. A 11 inch with retina and reduced bezels would be nice to have. I’m thinking if they reduced the bezels they could actually keep the 11 inch screen and make the entire thing even smaller. Just give me the old air keyboard not the fail of technology that the butterfly keyboard is. Seriously how many revisions do you need before they realize it’s a bad idea.
It isn't just the keyboard. The whole movement towards a thinner case is a bad idea, and PC laptops are the same. Just no room to dissipate heat. The new i9 MBP is software or hardware undervolted at certain loads to prevent or lessen throttling.
I'd prefer a 3 lb useful laptop over a 1 lb useless tool once it gets too hot.
