I really like the Sony FE 35mm 1.4 GM lens even if it was a little expensive.

Somehow I got caught-up in the care-free bliss of doing laundry, today, and made a rather awkward mistake:

I swiped a blanket out of the dryer, hooked the tab on the door-open switch and snapped it off :(

Purchased this replacement on the Bay, then proceeded to channel my inner MacGyver so I could finish the other two loads.

Is there a Sony GM E-mount lens that's not expensive? If you know of one, please let me know.:)
I attended a Sony event a while back when the a7iii was fresh, jumped on a bus that went to two locations and got to play with the whole range. At the end we could purchase gear at a decent discount. Really wanted the 85f1.4 and a body, too bad I was broke ha.

I'd be happy with a Sony FE 85mm 1.4 GM... I love the compression on my portrait shoots (which is what I mainly shoot) with my Sigma 100-400. The backdrop doesn't matter as much... just concentrate on the model. I would love to add a Sony FE 135mm 1.8 GM prime in my camera gear. I shoot further away, but I don't have to say much on my portrait shoots. Most of my regular clients know how to pose, and understand my hand signals.

Did you pick up an a7iii? I use one as a backup... but my main camera is the a7riii. I would like to upgrade to an a7riv... but I would rather get a good prime lens or 2 at that price.

Just to keep on topic... I purchased a male to male XLR adapter on amazon... LOL. It will be delivered today.

Yep, it's a turner, specifically an OXO stainless steel turner. Pretty exciting, eh? I'm replacing plastic and silicone cooking utensils with stainless steel in an effort to ingest less plastic after finding plastic spatula bits in a dish I was cooking.

... except for the silicon/non-stick coating bits that the metal utensils scrape off during the cooking process ...;)

What about wood ustensiles, shouldn’t be better? And you don’t destroy pans.
Yes, I also have a good array of wooden utensils, most of which are more than 20 years old and holding up beautifully. Now and then I'll oil them, along with cutting boards.

Enjoy your Generac. I made my parents buy one after Hurricane Sandy here in the North East. Game changer.
Just be careful. You have yours installed just like my parents next the AC units. My parents lost power for 2 days after a storm and were running the AC with the Generac. After a few hours the carbon monoxide detectors went off. Luckily they evacuated the house and the fire department came. What set it off was that the generac exhaust fumes were being sucked into the AC unit and into the house cause the CO alarms to be set off.

Thank You for the heads up.
My plan is putting a small "pretty" fence around the generac, street facing, to appease the HOA and also separate the generator from the A/C's as well as line the interior sides with some styrofoam sheets for just a little more sound insulation to hopefully divert most of the noise and fumes out towards the rear... that is the plan anyway.

Unfortunately not, only a hobbyist still rocking an ancient a65 + 24-75(equiv)f2.8. Mainly like to shoot still life and will still bust it out when I feel like making an effort.

Next proper holiday I want to try my phone only, as I like to travel light. It's nowhere near a replacement, but become good enough for me. I honestly need to work on composition and taking better shots, I cull so many afterwards. No high end gear will help there, well the feeling of raising a camera to the eye can help a little.

On topic: bought some N95 masks for a flight across country to visit family.

Possible buy: 14 Pro Max, depending how impulsively I like the deep purple when I play with one in store. Also to try an adapt to a bigger phone. Not sure how I feel with the main camera getting even wider at 24mm. I know it was probably needed due to sensor size.

The Hot Toys sixth scale figure of Boba Fett from The Mandalorian television series. I know most people who buy these things tend to have huge collections, but this is my only one so far because I collect too many other things. But I had to get this one because it’s my favorite Boba Fett outfit of all time, and Hot Toys did a really good job nailing the look. The clothes fit just right and the paint application is much better than in the original promotional images.
