People rat on this machine, but seriously, it's an awesome little machine, especially for $419. Buy yourself a quality IPS monitor and some good peripherals and I'd be happy with it for at least 4 years.
It amazes me what this little machine can do without the top of the line specs. I would've liked to get maybe 8GB memory or a SSD, but this will be perfect for a couple years.

I also got a new pair of massively reduced cans from Sony. They were basically a third of their retail price!

Enough is enough of running 7 devices on wi-fi.

Id like to do similar, is it as simple as just one cable from your router into the switch, and then cables out to various locations?

Yes... straight-through CAT 6 cable from the router to one of the switch's ports. Doesn't matter. Then other devices plug into the switch. For me, the trick was getting the CAT 6 from the router in the living room into on of the bedrooms (office) without drilling (rental). I ran the cable concealed in the ceiling moulding around the room, then dropped to the floor and as cleanly as possible through a door jam. Used cable tacks to secure the cable to the base boards. Other than the cable routing, its as simple as it sounds.

Nice. But as a lefty, I hated those things. Everything that I wrote was smeared and the side of my had was always the color of the ink. TGFBPP (thank God for ball point pens)!
Boo - ballpoints! ;)

I know a few people who use fountain pens as lefties, and one can adopt an 'under-writer' or 'over-writer' style to avoid smudging. However, I can totally see how the convenience of a ballpoint (especially if one doesn't write much) could outweigh the potential gains of a FP.

I like them as it makes writing a lot more interesting, and the variety of inks you can use. Then you can get into things like stub nibs and pens with flex and it opens a whole new world of possibilities!

Pre-ordered a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R in Limestone Grey w/ DSG/Navigation. Had to put in a $300 deposit to have them try to pull it for me. I guess pre-orders open Thursday morning, so it's not guaranteed at this point, but I do like my chances due to most people going with black or blue. We'll see Thursday... :) (not my pic)
