Sorry, but the fries and burger on this pic look like 6-12 months past the best before date... :p
There must be something better than Wendy's in the U.S.? Or...?

Apple Watch white sports band, white iPad Pro 10.5 Smart Cover.
Love the SpaceGrey / White combo on both the watch and iPad Pro. Very clean and great constrast:

(I attached the non black/white picture below)

The real issue will be to keep them as white as they are.

My last purchase despite it being summer in Wales was this Barbour Ashby waxed cotton jacket. Very quintessentially British and something I've been meaning to buy for a few years now.

A jacket for life! My fathers is about 30 years old, nearly as old as me and still looks the business after a new waxing

Where in Wales?

I'm from Pontypool originally.

This past week I was lucky enough to be gifted a Melos SHA-1 Headphone Amp/Pre-Amplifier. One of the best headphone amps ever made! Just hooked it up to make sure it works. Until I find a better setup it will in my PC audio setup. Currently using it to drive my Beyerdnyamic DT 880s and using it as a pre-amp in conjunction with the N22 Desktop Amplifier paired with the Audio Engine P4 bookshelf speakers.

Surface 3, saw a nice deal for the Surface 3/dock/pen/keyboard. I wanted something light and that could still do all the work my MacBook Pro could do. A MacBook is 3x the price and an iPad Pro doesn't have a mouse:eek:.
How do you like it so far? How is running a full OS on such a tiny screen?

It's a mixed bag. I'm so used to using my MacBook Pro for work stuff and I'm used to having a few windows open to do things. I use a resolution of 1920x1200 on the MBP and the Surface 3 does 1920x1280 but you have to scale things up if you don't have eagle eyes.

It's a bit cramped but I'm not too bothered. The things I missed are somewhat simple things that hopefully I can find alternatives to (I'm not getting rid of the MBP though:)). Text expansion and system wide autocorrect are baked into OSX, Windows 10 doesn't have either. Well there is an option for autocorrect in Windows but it fixes none of my typos.

The pen and the touch interface really are great. I did some simple stuff in GIMP with the pen, it was much easier than with a mouse alone. As a casual media device it's fantastic with the built in stand and the removable keyboard.

I've done stuff with it connected to another monitor, running things on both displays. It didn't seem to struggle with that surprisingly.

Bought one when I was over there back in May. Much cheaper to buy in the UK than in the US!

Yeah I've heard there is quite an increase. I saw a really good YouTube review of the jacket from an America fella who had bought in the UK and said the same jacket would be over $300 if bought in the US.

It's cool to see a brand like Barbour is appreciated abroad though. It's so common in the UK that you don't think of it appealing elsewhere.

I've heard this is great stuff. Never tried it myself though.

Just got into bourbon a couple months ago and I have tasted many as well as accumulating over a dozen bottles. This ranks in top 3 easily. Many bourbon lovers would agree that this is a staple for a nice bottle under $50. The regular Jefferson is ok, this is worth the $10 more. Give it a shot.

Next time I hit the liquor store, i'll be sure to look for a bottle of it. Thanks for the recommendation and enjoy.
