When we got married 20 odd years ago she asked me never to buy any of those things! We have a joint account and she just buys whatever she wants, which really isn't a lot!

we have a joint account as well. she buys whatever she wants but i buy for her as well. These shoes she has been dreaming off since a month or two and thought they are expensive(which they are IMHO) so i bought them for her!! while putting idea of new wheels on my car on the side lol

Lol! My wife isn't your typical wife. No interest in shoes or clothes. She makes cards so buys craft making stuff, but thats about it.

Now a new set of wheels I can understand! What do you drive? I already have two expensive hobbies. Apple and Photography!

Honda Accord? I recall driving one in my teens. It was an old wreck of a car. Mouldy inside. But it had Cruise control when I'd never used it before. As I was living in London I never got to use it until one night we tested it on a long straight road. Sadly it had speed bumps, so you can guess how comfy the ride was at 30 MPH to get it to kick in!
Also the AC was like a dry ice affair. It produced internal smoke!

We have a charity event coming up this month so I just purchased a couple pair of Tom Ford sunglasses, a his and hers set to put in the silent auction for the attendees to bid on. Whatever they sell for collectively goes to the charity which helps families in the city with food and other necessities if they are going through hardships.

I have been involved in setting this up and giving to for about the last 10 years, it is a great organization for the city.

Hoping these sell well.

Pure madness, operatic style: Metropolitan Opera, Lucia di Lammermoor, the Mary Zimmerman production as revived in 2009, Anna Netrebko singing Lucia. Rented it once and decided to spring for it rather than keep renting it once in awhile forever lol.

good job on the Four Grain. those are all really good, i have the Parkers 11yr
first bottle of four grain that I've seen in the flesh. they are near impossible to find around me. almost bought a parkers 11, but I've spent too much already this month. LOL

USB A or A and C for future proofing? I have a waterproof/fireproof/shockproof keychain one I’ve had for years. I’ll be sad when I have to retire it.

Whatever USB 2.0 is.

Earlier, when putting documents on another USB stick, it crossed my mind that I could do with one or two more.

Some weeks ago, I purchased a USB 3.0 stick; I think I wasn't really concentrating today, except on the documents I need to have copied (the will), and needed to sign and have converted to pdf format, (some for myself).

What brand is your waterproof/shockproof/fireproof keychain?

USB 2 and USB 3 look similar and are backward compatible. The basic shape is the same and is referred to as USB type A.
USB type B is usually used on printers etc. Looks like a slightly small square on top of the other.
USB type C is the new one which is much smaller. Looks a bit like a lighting port on your iPhone. Thunderbolt uses the same shape on newer Macs.
