Looks like a NSW number plate and I seem to recall them having the Exige.

Here in QLD we've had some different ones. Lancer EVO X, Impreza WRX, HSV Clubsport, FPV F6, Hummer H3, the afore mentioned Golf GTi. Not to mention some of the under covers, Ford XR6 Turbo ute, Holden SS utes etc.

Ah. The uniform looked a bit Victorian. I don't really count the Evo's, Imprezza's, HSV etc as overly special, too many average citizens drive them.

But some of those would be unusual enough for the Americans...
