I really like the 43" Acer monitor, just for all that space.
I used to run dual 27" monitors and I got sick of dragging windows across multiple screens so I went this route instead and I am really happy with my decision. Nearly went the Samsung 49" monitor route but this was much less expensive and it gives me a TV in my office as well. Plenty of real estate for side by side windows and apps.

This is a great thread with lots of ideas I hadn't thought about.

Mines still a work in progress, hence no pics. (my excuse for not cleaning up my space.)

I used to have my MBP as my work and Media centre which ultimately choked the MBP's SSD. So I kept my eye on refurbished Mac Mini to become available. I got way more than I needed but the price was irresistible being $600 off.

This set up is purely for media only. Audirvana for all the music and Blu-Ray Player Pro for audio BR and audio/video BR's.

2018 Mac Mini, 3.2GHz I7, 64 GB ram, 512 GB SSD and 10 G ethernet. BenQ 4K 34" monitor.

Satechi Type C Aluminum stand is a must have if you have lots of interconnects like me. Fits perfectly underneath the Mini.

Various SSD drives for music and video from Transcend and Sandisk. Thankfully these are hot sellers on Amazon Sales.

Pioneer Blu Ray burner / player BDR-XD05B

Audio Set up:

Schiit Jotenheim, Bifrost 2, Mani and Sol. Allows playing of vinyl, FLAC, CD'S Blu-Ray.
Emotiva ERC-3 CD player. ARTPro RM5 studio monitors (300W) Drop H6xx headphones.

Thanks. What's the monitor ?
Not sure to whom you are addressing, but mine are 28” Samsung UHD 4K monitors.

Sounds like you have the makings of a great setup. I’d love to see a pic of it once it’s picture ready.

I was referring to andy2141 thanks. Not sure why the quote option isn’t working for me.

Now it’s working

It a Dell S2719DC.

Got it about 18 months ago and so far it’s served me well.

I love this desk. Where is it from?

Thanks! I just got it last month and love it too. It's designed by Lumisource and they sell their furniture through various online resellers. Overstock.com had it for hundreds cheaper than Target.com

(Note that the walnut color on their website is lighter than the walnut desk that was shipped to me.)

Hi, just want to share my Mac mini setup on my desk to our community:

Mac mini on IKEA SKÅDIS Letter holder

⌘ You can place your Mac mini on its 'Letter holder' accessory.
⌘ I also put small hooks at the left and right side to prevent slipping (It surprisingly fit!).
⌘ You can better organising cables with more hooks above the machine. A white power LED light is still able to see.
⌘ You still have about 1.5cm between the board and the device, which I think it’s a better air-flow than normally place it on a table.
⌘ If you need more cooler temperature you may set some small fan behind the board.

It's a pity Pi-Hole won't play as a pfSense plugin on your Netgate.

But then you'd have to find something else for your Mini to do.
Yeah it would be cool if it were made into a plugin. I thought I read someplace once that some people were trying to do that but having a lot of trouble.
