My list of Macs used as my primary computer:

2005 Mac mini 1.42 G4 1GB
2006 iMac 2.0 CD 2GB
2007 Mac Pro 2.66 Quad 6GB
2009 MacBook Pro 2.4 4GB
2009 Mac Mini 2.0 4GB 160GB Intel X25-M G2 Solid State Drive.

I'm so glad that Apple finally made the mini competent enough to handle my everyday tasks. With the solid state drive this thing easily feels much faster then my Mac Pro did unless of course I am using handbrake for video encodes. It's the quietest computer I've ever owned and outputs very little heat. Love it!

Where did you get your desk from? Ikea?

The beach desk and the aluminium cinema display just looks beautiful together. I really wish Apple still made the 20" ACD..

There are actually two desks in the above images. My current desk with the mini and 24" LED is an IKEA Gallant desk in beech:

The other desk is the same size and nearly the same color but it's a discontinued IKEA desk, the Jerker also in beech.

Macgeek, always enjoy your setups. Don't need to have the latest and greatest...yours is very nostalgic.

Thanks, appreciate it.I'm always being asked if I use my 10 year olds systems and I always say yes,They work, why not use them.Besides,it's a Power Mac G4,or Windows xp Pro Core 2 Duo system, which would you use.I already made my choice.:D

Got it from Hot Topic about 2 weeks before Halloween. It was the last one they had too. They got their shipment that morning as well...

My question is is your desk in FRONT of your CLOSET?

Yes it is.. its a bit of an odd way/place to have a desk setup, but I like it.. I like never use my closet, so the desk goes there.. small rooms suck, what can I say?

I returned my 21'' iMac and got the 27''. with my new desk the 21'' was too small, now this is a perfect size. I'll be adding logitech z2300 speakers to my setup for christmas next week.

yup me too, I was jealous because everyone seems to be getting the 27'' version. I knew when I originally bought it I was going to regret it. Thank god the people at the apple store waived the restocking fee. The screen on this is soo much better than the other one

this is the desk
