Uhm, I got the chair in a local office store here in the Netherlands. I really don't know what chair it is exactly.

Just redid my setup when I picked up the new LCD, much cleaner than the setup I had before which was gathering dust.

In the photo: new Samsung 23" 1080p LCD (P2350), 3.5 year old 2.33 17" MBP, Bose Companion 3, new Apple wired keyboard, Logitech G5 'gaming' mouse, my soon to be replaced iPhone 3G.

Hidden: Pinnacle TV Tuner, 3 WD External USB drives (0.5, 1TB, 1TB).

Just missing a good lamp and maybe a short stand for the MBP. And yes, the desk is missing the front edge plastic strip. It's a home built desk and got too lazy to put it on.

very clean setup :D if only i was that organised :(

how does the LCD compare to the MBP LCD?

Thanks :D

Dunno, it took a a few hours to get used to after fiddling and calibrating the settings, but now it's sweet. It's a lot whiter than the MBP (and brighter of course) but now that I'm used to it, it's awesome.

And I hated the chiclet keyboard at first, but loving it now :D

Uhm, I got the chair in a local office store here in the Netherlands. I really don't know what chair it is exactly.

Here is my 2nd to final setup for the home Mac Mini.

Speakers: some Logitechs with woofer (200W RMS).
Elephant HDD no longer needed (500GB will be swapped with Mini's 320GB)
Dell 2007WFP
Bamboo mini-tablet for daughter under the screen wipe on the right.
cables are for the Elephant drive; which was replaced with Time Capsule ;)
On the hunt for a utility to allow internet based TC backups.

Kids just don't know how good they have it.

What's your opinion on the displaylink adapters? Thinking about doing a dual setup with a MBP, question the lag and reliability.

I have the newer adapters (support HD resolution). There IS noticeable lag on both DL monitors. It doesn't make them unusable, but you don't want to be constantly dragging things around. If you try dragging a full size window around, there is A LOT more lag than if you tried dragging a smaller window around. You can also notice the mouse lag even when the rest of the screen is static. I would recommend them as a last resort for more monitors. Otherwise, just go with a proper connection. I've been using them for about 6 months now and happy with them for the price. Displaylink is already working on USB 3.0 models which should be MUCH faster and have no lag. I plan on switching to those when MBP's finally come with USB 3.0! If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to answer them :D

There's a version with mac layout or only windows?

There's only a windows layout. The volume keys/mute keys work right out of the box with no tinkering required. For all the other function keys, you need to remap them yourself. Otherwise, it's just the command and option keys that are switched around (can easily be changed via system prefs). Let me know if you have any more questions about it. I would highly recommend it over any version of the Apple Keyboard (I used to own them and then I switched to Logitech Illuminated Keyboard).

I feel like I finally got my desk how I like it. It certainly doesn't compare most of the desktops her, but some day I hope it will be comparable.
I use my MacBook Air for some Windows stuff and obviously when I'm not at my desk, but I use Synergy when I am using it at my desk.
