As I told in my previous post I was moving. Now a week is over and I finally got some time to finish my new desk. Custom oak top plate oiled in a darker color and reduced setup to 2 displays. Now some nice speakers are missing and maybe something on the wall. A standing desk frame would be nice, but this I will add later.

What colour desk mat would you put on the desk to protect the area where I'm using the mouse?

Gray to bring out the undertones of the mouse and keyboard.

I know it's a cliché but just go with your gut feeling. In the past I was often misled by looking at other peoples' setups and always end up changing it because it just wasn't working for me. Like ... never. For me personally it was always about the most simple and minimalistic approach one can choose. I always ask myself if I really need this or that, ie. would I benefit if I add the thing to my setup. If there's no gain then the answer is no.
