Logitech MX1000
PSP, DS
Sony Bravia Series X 40" [1080p]
Playstation 3 40GB

Xbox 360 Pro (no HDMI :( )
Pioneer HDMI DVD player
Denon 6.1CH Amp

After many a year of saving, my room is pretty well complete (not in debt with anything, and I paid for most things, entertainment unit was xmas/bday present). The only thing I'm thinking of getting is a Macbook Pro, but I will most probably use the money for starting investments and [finally] moving out.

I was just wondering why we are starting new threads so often.
The first one had over 11,000 posts so I don't understand...
Do people just want credit for starting new threads or something?

I was wondering the same thing.... It's really gotten outta hand! However, I can appreciate that this 4th thread had links to the others in the first post.

Please everyone... can we just keep this thread going for a while?

Two of the new set up. Sexy MBP, 2.4GHz, C2D, with 4GB RAM, and about 2 TB of space. These Yamaha's are also killer.

The others are of the old set up with the old desk too.

Needless to say, the new setup makes it much more conducive to work. With much more ease too.

Read this

I've started splitting long threads (>1000-2000 posts) into "Part 2" threads. At the moment there's no hard/fast rule, but certainly perpetual threads will be split. Meanwhile, news threads that tend to have a self-imposed life span we'll let ride.

The reason is that threads this long may be contributing to database locks / stalls.

I guess xUKHCx summed it all up.

thanks for the clarification :)

If we could continue having the links to the previous ones as gothiquegirrl said, that'd be awesome. :D

You mean as I did :p It was something I thought was needed now that we are on the fourth thread. Helps keep the history of the thread easy to trace.

The moderators will decide when to start a new thread and as someone has already said we will move some posts from the old thread into a new one, so it may appear that someone has created a new thread.

Like the set up. Very simple and non cluttered. Big gamer are you? lol. Glad you finally got it how you wanted it.

(from left to right) Small 30 gb Lacie hard drive. Casio Ex-Z55 digital camera (not shown but dock is) crappy razr phone. 30gb ipod. 750gb mybook external drive. and a Microsoft mouse.
the last 2 pictures are my current setup. I moved them to a diff spot on my desk so i only have a few wires showing rather than 10 billion.

now all i need are some jbl creature speakers in black, but it seems i cant find them anywhere. Looks like they stopped making them for some reason.

Any other black speaker suggestions?
