My uncle passed down his 400-lb 18-year-old executive desk to me, and I love it. I was looking for something sturdy until I settle into a permanent office and get new furniture, and this does the trick. It's so freaking heavy!

Don't you just love heavy desks... mine weighs about 600-lbs!! They had to split it up into 16 parts to carry it up to my office!!

Yeah absolutely. Cross bracing and such is no substitute for solid, dense real wood.

Also, I meant to add...look ma, no drooping cables! Picked up this cable tunnel for $10 at Fry's.

My desk... it can tilt backwards and forwards... so it has to have all of the wires and monitors and things built into it.... It's great... and so all I have to have on the floor... is a power outlet and an ethernet socket... and all of the other plugs are in the desk!! And so the wires are pretty well hidden!! If you are a doctor and want to check out the desk... then it's here...

Could someone please give me a link to one of those little white iphone stands/docks... i want to get one:)

Thanks! that's exactly what im after

Im a bit of an idiot, went through the store and didn't see it...

Have you posted your set up yet? Because I saw earlier you claimed to have all these macs and now this ridiculous desk as well.

I'm intrigued..

I've been interested in this as well since he posted this:

I have 3 Powerbooks... 4 MacBook Pro's... 2 MacBook Air's and a Black MacBook... I also have 2 30" Cinema Displays and 2 24" Cinema Displays (On Order) I have my 2 Mac Pro's and 3 Mac Mini's as Media Centres LOL.. oh.. also N*iPods and iPhones...

I initially thought it was a joke, but the more this person posts here, the more I think he's trying to insinuate that he does actually own this stuff. If it's true, I'd love to see some pics, but as it stands, the internet has made me extremely cynical about stuff like this.

I just spend hours cleaning my office so I thought I'd capture it in it's rare clean state.

You have a Mac Pro and you use it as a iPod?

PS: upgrade to the LED cinema display and send me your old cinema display and iSight.

My only setup is the BlackBook itself, but the artwork is custom :)
