The screen was nice, but I wanted something widescreen that was like a 20in Apple LCD, but not worth 700+ dollars. So i got the next best thing, I went to Best Buy and got me a widescreen 19in. LCD instead. It was only 300 dollars and didn't have to pay that extra 400 dollars for the extra inch from Apple.

NEW SETUP

As yes I was considering that monitor, the Westinghouse 19" Widescreen but for some reason I got an Acer 19" non-widescreen from tigerdirect.com and I can't beleive I put off $40 for a cheaper monitor because I LOVE the look and feel of widescreens. But when I got the monitor I was so obsessed with it exactly matching my video card's resolution. Three weeks later I got a new video card and I wish I had gotten a widescreen.

I was freaking out over how the monitor would actually be regarding quality. I will say that the quality is really excellent for a monitor that is so close to a 20in widescreen.

I had bought my old 19in. monitor (the older one) before I purchased my new video card, but then I wanted a widescreen, so I sold my old one for almost 380 dollars and got this one for 300. It was 380 cause I have to ship it to South Korea, so shipping costs A LOT.

It does match more now. I am very happy with it since it matches with my silver colored PB, my black and gray PC, and my white keyboard and mouse :)

How is the resolution? I noticed that it has the same resolution as the 17" iMac, it has 3 more inches so is the image fuzzy or sharp?

The resolution is 1440x900, and the resolution is quite sharp, not fuzzy at all nor looks stretched out either. In regards to it being similar to the iMac's screen resolution, I beleive it is a bit bigger overall, but I don't own one or see many that often, so I can't be the judge.

My new Cube setup, I like it alot!

Very nice! I'm still looking for the right cube as a home server / torrent box... but the locals just ask wayyyy to much around here.

Someday. :)

I like the looks, and the price, but I can't find any real reviews. Anyone have a link? I was reading tomshardware for low cost & good for video monitors... but it looks like that plus widescreen isn't really available below ~$700

Yeah, my Cube will act like a server/jukebox someday when I buy a new computer.

Hehe, why is it that that seems to be the standard "what do I do with my Cube?" thing? You want to do it, I'm in the process of doing it, a load of people on CU have done it... weird, huh? :D

woops...im sure everyone understood what i meant...but can you imagine???

512 GB of RAM???

the day is coming...sooner than we may believe.
Can you imagine how much HD space you would have then... Let's see...

PowerMac can have 16GB RAM and 1000GB storage (just built in no external drives). 16 goes into 512 32 times, so that would be 32000 GB storage  factor in technology advances so that would probably be 50000GB just of built in hard drive space and then add on all your external drives

hooray i got my first mac

Here is my setup now that i have my macbook pro. btw. i love it and just wished i switched earlier.
