what use could you possibly have for three notebooks?
Well i have 4; one apple, one old toshiba 440CDX and an even older Compaq contura 400 and an old ibm thinkpad and i use them all daily, the old ones making programs for pc, the thinkpad for storage and the apple for everything else

im a newb...

My friend chris just got me turned over to macs...I have my first mac(this post is coming to you from..)...its a powerbook g4 17"...i love it. I got a great deal on it. In the house i still have my pc i biult a few months ago, and a secondary pc randomly placed inthe living room for internet/file backup/music downloads on...mainly guests in my apartment use them for internet though. The apartment is all tied to gether wirelessly. If anyones really that intrigued by this, i'll take some pics, but otherwise no real need.

Actually there isn't many 17" PowerBooks on here...& your setup sounds awesome! You should post it if it isn't too inconvenient.

Dont be modest you should definately post! I've always thought about a wireless media setup in the living room and your's sounds pretty nice.

I love myset up. Yes the HiFi are hooked up to my Mini and used as speakers, and they work great. Having it on the shelf is great because it fills my room nicely and doesn't bother my neighbors with the hard bass sound that my old JBL creatures on the floor had. I use to have a PB, but since I was at my desk 99% of the time.. this was the setup to go with.

That is nice, when I was 14 a computer at all was a luxury. Of course then I began working and eventually had a PC desktop...meh..but yeah, now I enjoy my PB.

I purchased iLife 06' (upgraded from 05) and I keep getting problems. I am thinking of just wiping out the hard drive on my PB and reinstalling OS X Tiger and seeing what will happen when I put iLife 06. Sometimes it just randomly quits on me without warnings, just quits (iDVDand iMovie in particular). Oh well, sorry for getting out of topic there, just frustrating.

You should have gotten a wireless keyboard for all your Macs, that is unless you use them both at the same time often...?

I have one, and can use it, but I love my mighty mouse and the cable is too short. :(

I got it for $300 and it's now about $200. :)

We are the same age, have the same type of Computers and both paid for them all by our selves

I have to say the iBook/iMac combo is very nice!
And they run on PPC chips:rolleyes:

I'm your guy's age (well, 15) & have a MacBook Pro, iMac & eMac. Seems like we have more computers than some people here and they're like....20 years older than us! haha.

What's not pictured or you just can't see in my picture:

iMac G3 500
PowerBook G3
iBook G3
PC 2.7GHz
Airport Express
1.42Ghz headless iBook
and two sets of JBL Creatures II
